Sticky Windows 2.3.4 (Mac OS X)

Trouble installing

Works fine on my MacPro with 10.5.x, however it won't install properly on my MacBookPro with 10.4.11. I paid for an additional license and installed the latest version (v2.4 is available from the Dev site), but the Control Panel gets stuck on the Info screen and won't let me enter the key. Hence I get a nag window every few stickies to buy it again, which is annoying to say the least :-( [alert admin]

Apple Hard Drive Update 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Nice try, Steve.

Dual 3Ghz MacPro 'does not need this update'. I was hoping this was the silver bullet that would fix all the stupid OS 9 type crap that's plagued my machine since I installed Leopard. [alert admin]

Iconographer X 2.5 (Mac OS X)

Thanks Iconographer

You were great when you were the only one out there. For people looking to create a favicon now, there's a free Photoshop plugin here: http://www.telegraphics.com.au/sw/ which works like a charm and is as easy as saving any file. Be sure to check out the tutorial here as well for some tips: http://www.photoshopsupport.com/tutorials/jennifer/favicon.html Good luck! [alert admin]

Apple ATI Radeon X1900 1.0 (Mac OS X)

So far so good

Haven't seen this in software update yet, but I ran it anyway because the way my system is behaving currently it couldn't hurt. The first thing I've noticed is that it cleared up some sparkly pixels which occasionally dance in a rainbow formation on my 30" Apple LCD. No other adverse effects, and all seems to be well after a half-day of this update under normal to heavy use on my machine- hence, a cautious four stars. [alert admin]

Archibald 3.4.1 (Mac OS X)

No sound...

RTFM, tried everything I could think of, still no joy. Or maybe French drummers play at a frequency only dogs can hear? Looks interesting though, and might be just what I'm looking for... Will wait for the stupid American version :-b [alert admin]

Now Playing 1.1.0.4 (Mac OS X)

Mystery App

since the bundle includes no instructions, no ReadMe, and no other types of clues. A pop-up window appeared once after installation, but rather than follow my preferences dumped an xml file in my User folder instead. There's no visible application or plug-in to work with this hack and therefore would get trashed if I could find whatever the hell installed on my drive. Further, I probably would have paid the required 10 bucks for this piece of grief back in the day when the wow factor was impressive, but today there's too many truly useful shareware programs worthy of paying the same for. ***Idiot alert***

Oh yeaaahhhh???? Mmmnnnnnyyyeeeeaahhhh! Your time and the space on VT would be better spent making a worthwhile hack that would somehow make your lack of intellect less obnoxious. I'm done here.

nice feedback.... this site is going downhill

That's why they call this section 'feedback' and not 'praise'... it can't all be good. Sorry if it's your hack here and you're just posting under one of your three forum names.

Dual 2.0 G5 OS X 10.4.2 install issues

The other thing that might be happening here is that the Agree / Disagree buttons are reversed. The Disagree button is defaulted to the Enter key, so if you are trying to get through the installation menu and hitting return to move to the next step, hitting return on Agree / Disagree will kick you back to the Safeboot warning screen. A simple oversight..

RIP OFF!

Seriously- for a second there I actually thought: 'Crap! my G5 is only a Dual 2GHz model'. I admit I've upgraded for even less rational reasons. My name is artcop and I'm a Macintosh addict.

A Mirror for downloading

How cool are you? Offering free bandwidth for a difficult download on VT... you should get the five stars.
