iMovieLocationEditor 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Version 1.01 now working

The updated version 1.01 (at the moment only at the developer's site) does write to iMovie. Handy little app, if you want to use some smaller towns in iMovie's globe or map. A little built in map (like in HoudahGeo) would be handy though. [alert admin]

iMovieLocationEditor 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Doesn't write the new location to iMovie

The title says it all. Once I click add to iMovie nothing happens (apart from it disappearing from the list) and iMovie doesn't list the new location. [alert admin]

Apple Safari 4.0b (Mac OS X)

Love it

Putting the tabs on the very top gives just that little bit more screen real estate, which is very important for me these days. Also the "Top Sites" feature comes in quite handy. Same with the "+" (new tab) button. Seems also slightly faster. I had no problems so far concerning crashes, etc., but then the Cooliris plugin doesn't work any more (which caused most of my crashes in the past). [alert admin]

LightZone 3.6.2 (Mac OS X)

Icon

A "professional photo editor" for $200 should really update its icon for Leopard users. The current one is not much of an advertisement. [alert admin]

iPhoto Buddy 1.3.1 (Mac OS X)

iPhoto can do it too, or is there more?

So what's the difference to pressing option when opening iPhoto and creating/choosing different libraries? [alert admin]

Rarify 0.8 (Mac OS X)

Nice little interface, if you don't have something like BetterZip

It supplies a nice simple way to use the rar binary (prefs let you set segments, size, etc.). If you can't afford BetterZip this is a good alternative. [alert admin]

QuickEffect 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Did not work...

on my MacBook Pro CoreDuo. Opened the picture alright, but none of filters worked. Couldn't even move the sliders. [alert admin]

DeskTrade 1.1 (Mac OS X)

Zero Link reference

There still is the ZeroLink reference, i.e. it doesn't launch, as it doesn't find the library. I don't have the dev tools installed and therefore can't launch it. [alert admin]

ChatFX 1.2.1 (Mac OS X)

Nice effects, huge memory usage

Tried it, went through all the effects, very nice ones and more then iGlasses. Some didn't work though and lots of them were delayed by more than 1 sec as it needs lots CPU power. Even on my 2.16 GHz MacBook Pro with 2 GB of RAM it crashed when I tried to quit iChat after going through all the effects. To sum it up: really slick effects, would be nice to have, but needs too much memory - not usable at this point of time in my opinion. [alert admin]

LittleSecrets 1.7 (Mac OS X)

What would be nice...

if it could handle HTML, i.e. keep links from Internet pages clickable (that way it could even double up as note pad?). [alert admin]

Doesn't write the new location to iMovie

Restarted iMovie several times and it always has been in the main Applications folder. The backup feature worked, I edited the .txt file and restored from backup, which did show the new location.

Crashes on launch

Do you mean that it crashes on launch or that it hangs, 'cause that's what happened on my machine?
