Parallels Desktop 5.0 (Mac OS X)
If you are encountering the dreaded BSOD and IRQL error this worked for me. http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=95571 Just change the CPU to 1 and start the VM. After Parallel tools installs and the reboot is done turn off the VM, and change the CPUs back to 2. [alert admin]

Installation issues with converting v3 virtual machine to v4
I believe I had issues with TeaTimer/Spybot and an Oracle database service that was running along with Kaspersky Internet Security. Since I had already removed version 3 to install version 4 I had to go through multiple manual mode interactions where Kaspersky and/or Spybot wanted authorization. I would suggests turning these off in version 3 before loading version 4 and converting. After getting the XP world up and running it took multiple tries to get Parallel Tools to install. What I had to do was use the task manager to quick TeaTimer and the Oracle database server. I also quick the iTunesHelper just because... After I was up and running I assigned 2 cpus (MacBookPro 2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo) to the VM and gave it high priority. I did a performance test with my one Windoze app I need to run from work and here are the results comparing VMware Fusion 2, Parallels 3 and Parallels 4. Seems to conflict with Parallels Desktop
When Parallels is in the foreground and I select Apple -> System Preferences Parallels freezes and I have to reboot through the terminal. It does not happen when Parallels is running and it is in the background, ie some other application or the finder is in the foreground. 10.5.4 MacBook Pro 2.16 GHz, 2 GB RAM [alert admin]

Seems to require you to push "Stop" and then "Start" to count down? Setting the timer to 5 seconds and pushing "Start" counts up. [alert admin]

Apple iTunes 7.0 (Mac OS X)
Really annoying, iTunes quits when I; (my Library is on an external FW drive) have a play list open and I am adding songs to it try and play songs from the library with a play list open wake my computer with iTunes open and try and play a song is this an external drive issue or general iTunes bug?
