The Geometer's Sketchpad 4.0.7 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
I downloaded the 4.0.7 updater twice and attempted to install it. It said it was "gathering information". Eventually it said it was not responding and I had to force quit. I am on a MacBook Pro running Leopard (10.5.2). [alert admin]

Andromeda Velociraptor 2.2 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
Andromeda is way out of touch with today's applications. This one doesn't support CS3 nor Leopard. Those plugins that support CS3 require the application be used in Rosetta. Andromeda, get with the program! [alert admin]

Quickie X Web Albums 4.3.7 (Mac OS X)
Although this album creator works it is very dated. How dated? Not much has changed in the past year except the system requirements. If you check out the "User Albums" you will find one link doesn't exist and one link takes you to a page where the individual uses a different web album application. There are several good alternatives such as ShutterBug, JAlbum, Galerie, Gallery Designer, etc. [alert admin]

Parallels Desktop 3.0 Build 5584.0 (Mac OS X)
I downloaded and installed the update successfully - so it says!! The only problem is that Parallels shows it is still build 5582. "Get Info" shows that it has NOT been modified. What's going on? I don't need to download an 88.1 MB installer and then the only thing it does is provide a new "Parallels Desktop for Mac Quick Start Guide", a new "Parallels Desktop for Mac User Guide", and a new "Release Notes" document!! Up until this update everything has gone smoothly. Come on Parallels.Inc! Don't get sloppy on us!! [alert admin]

Downloads and Installs - So it says!!!!
The download and install went smoothly. However, it did nothing but update the pdf documents! I checked "Get Info" and Parallels is version 5582! In fact the date shows it wasn't changed! I don't need to download an 88.1 MB dmg file to update the documents which are about 5.6MB in size! Come on Parallels.Inc! Don't get sloppy on us!! [alert admin]

Apple iDVD 6.0.4 (Mac OS X)
Is Apple regressing? The version I have installed on my system is 7.0.1. This released version is 6.0.4 and will not install over the one I have. What gives? Did the Leopard lose its spots? [alert admin]

More powerful the Apple's Mail? 
Ever try to make text in an email Bold or colored? You can't do it! It does not support rich text format! I have requested this feature for months. I continue to be told it has low priority. Also, if you want to select all the messages within a folder, to move them or delete them, you can't just press command-A unless you first select one of the messages in the folder. If you don't Gyzamail selects all the folders and accounts on the left. My ratings are comparisons to Apple's free Mail application. [alert admin]

Seems like a good stable application. My main complaint is that you can not add a style, such as Bold, italics or colour to any portion of a sentence in the body of an emai for emphasis. [alert admin]

Epson Stylus Photo 2200 3.0cA (Mac OS X)
This driver works fine for standard mode using a Airport Extreme and the printer attached via USB. I have a MacBook Pro. It connects via Bonjour. However, the drivers available with the firewire option on my G5 are not available. ("Borderless" and "Minimal Borders" options) [alert admin]
