This is what I'd been looking for for a long while -- a way to make sense of the Mac using the command line. It's not for point-and-grunt --- you have to know "how to ask questions the smart way" (hint -- paste the quoted string into Google and read and understand). The support is at www.dotatdot.co.uk/clix/ (the pointer to that is at the site where Clix comes from, rixstep.com) [alert admin]

MobiSystems Paint 7.00 (Palm OS)
Anyone braved v7 yet? I hate being the first user .....
Just hoping someone else has tried the v7. I was real patient with the app, they finally got JPEGs working proerly in v6. Scared to change versions now. Docs at the home page are still for v6, too. Anyone? [alert admin]

MobiSystems Paint 2004 6.10 (Palm OS)
Hello-o-o -- they're at VERSION 6.3 now, though ....
though you'll have to search the site to get past the PC .EXE file download that's the default. That/s v6.3. In my experience, it's the very first version that actually has worked. [alert admin]

MobiSystems Paint 2004 6.10 (Palm OS)
They've got a v6.30 today, I'll go try that one
It's up to v6.3 -- note you have to keep checking the developer site, they do not announce new releases, though they hope to add that functionality at a later date (sigh). [alert admin]

How does it get five stars? Who's using it? ![]()

6.10 actually does unpack into an application, and I was able to load it onto the Clie SJ30. It was, once, able to edit a JPEG; the second time I tried, I could not get the pen to select a color -- it hung on pale blue no matter what was chosen from the palette --and the eraser did not work at all. Still struggling, still not ready for actual use. OSX 10.3.7, Powerbook G3/900 mhz; Sony Clie SJ30. [alert admin]

I'm the ONLY person who's ever tried to use this, eh?
Once again, the link provided is to a Windows .EXE file. Digging through the website, you can find a link that says it will provide the Mac version, which gives a file named MobiSystemsPaint_6.10.47.sit; that uncompresses into a file named MobiSystemsPaint_6.10.47.command, which is not recognized either by the Finder or by MissingSync. The promise of this app keeps me coming back, I registered early on the promise that it would eventually allow me to copy a JPEG file from the Mac to the Palm, carry it with me up onto a mountainside where I need to sketch in marks on a topographic map showing rresults of a forest fire, and then go home and move the picture, annotated, back to the Mac. No joy yet. [alert admin]

Alps MD series printers 1.0.2 (Mac OS X)
Anybody want an ALPS MD-2010, free for shipping?
Sigh. I loved this printer. It worked really, really well. Not supported now. Nothing else like it. I've thrown out three Epsons since then and just quit printing at home. [alert admin]

Mobile Paint 2004 4.90 (Palm OS)
4.90.32 is a WINDOWS bugfix release, they tell me
The 4.90 release is still current for Mac OS -- the 4.90.32 release is no different for the Palm OS, it's changed only by fixing bugs in the Windows desktop part of the package. That's the information provided by the help desk email people there. Wherever they are. If they really understood the question, finally. Like .... pulling .... nails ..... [alert admin]

What OS/CPU? no luck with my G3/10.3.9
I'm getting a crash log showing a missing "Quartz" file; v3.1 still works fine. G3 "Pismo" and OSX 10.3.9. Just me, or...?
