ChronoSync 4.0.1 (Mac OS X)
We do use Chronosync 4 with ChronoAgent for server backuptasks. This is a thing no other utility manages at this time. We do run two Mac Servers and ChronoSync does manage to sync the two devices. If the main server fails, we can switch to our Chronosync machine very easy. This is possible with ChronoAgent. Before ChronoSync we used Dantz (now Insignia) Retrospect. Customer support for Retrospect was too bad. So we switched with no regret to ChronoSync 4: More than fair price and upgrade policy. Customer Support for ChronoSync was great so far. For the user interface, the design, and functionality I rate this product with 5 stars. [alert admin]

I had to go back to an older Mac to scan my slides. This workes flowless. However, the userinterface is not very intuitive. Nikon should have a look on people working with there Nikon Scan software. The scanner itself is well built and does an excellent job. What a pitty, that the software lacks behind it. Payed a lot and there is not upgrade to Intel macs [alert admin]

Retrospect was well known for its futures on OS before X. However since then many things changed. Dantz no longer exists. EMC has a customer support that sucks. My Retrospect Express utility manages to run not more than a few times.. then the backup shows the error "catalog locked error". No chance to backup. Tried this on 3 computers. Buyed the upgrade - which is a complicated process, that can take you half an hour. Error didn't vanish. Told Tech Support to look after this bug. No chance. They do not listen. Sad, sad. We have to go for another solution for OS X backup. However: this is only my impression. Perhaps on Windows the stuff works? Perhaps even on other OS X versions... [alert admin]
