Address-O-Matic 1.0 (Build 27) (Mac OS X)

slightly sketchy docs

i downloaded, installed, ran, and punched a hole in my firewall for this app. the shared address book didn't show up in any other address book on any other mac on my subnet. does the app have to be installed on both comps? docs didn't mention this... does anyone know of an app or plugin that will allow the client address books to see AND edit the data on a central server????? that's what we really need... HP DeskJet 2.2.1 (Mac OS X)

i upgraded from 2.1...

which i had gotten to work pretty well, connected to a copy of osx server on a g4 we use as a print and plot server in this architectural office. i upgraded to this and everything went great until the presets on the client computers acted funny. apparently even after you make a preset, it reverts to the normal settings, which is unacceptable. i tried deleting and remaking the presets, uninstalling reinstalling, etc, but no go. so i downgraded to the last version that worked for me. i connected to a server...bam it quit. oh well...didn't mess with it after that. also after a failed connection and the "see transcipt" dialog, there is no easy way to reconnect or try again. [alert admin]

Re: Beware of the above post.

dear paul_robinson1, physical location has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with the ability, wherewithal, or motive for this particular or any potential hack. original poster's concerns are quite valid.

Re: I'd pay for the inverse

I too would gladly pay for the inverse, as would my gf. Panther finder interface blows!
