DrawIt 3.4 (Mac OS X)

No Tiger?

Leopard only? Why is that? Not everyone can move up to Leopard for various reasons. [alert admin]

FStream 1.3.4 (Mac OS X)

Full screen still needs some work

OK this fix makes full screen better but I still can't read long song names, and the radio station names all still get cut off. I increased my screen res but can you make the font smaller? Perhaps a user option to change the font size? Minor carping tho as this app rocks! [alert admin]

Apple Security Update 2007-009 1.1 (Mac OS X)

Simply amazed

Every time Apple comes out with an OS update, or one of these security updates I see many posts by people with issues. I currently maintain 4 Macs at work and two at home and have never had an issue with any of them. This update included. Perhaps if those with issues learned to keep their systems clean, by repairing permissions and running fsck -fy in single user mode once in a while, they too would enjoy running OSX without problems. Quark Print Collection 1.01 (Mac OS X)

Quark is dead

Quark ads transparency, but no way to export it live. This collection does nothing to fix that. Acrobat is now at version 8 and yet in Quark you still can't place any PDF above Acrobat version 4. With most print shops now using modern PDF workflow's this puts Quark at a big disadvantage over other page-layout applications, and as such is no longer recommended for use by Graphic Professionals. FStream 1.2.9 (Mac OS X)

Won't connect

Just downloaded this as I've been looking to record some radio but it won't connect. Is there some trick to get it to work? The URL's work in iTunes and Quicktime. [alert admin]

check please

"I don't have the room for an archive install so I'll wing it." That may be the root of your problem. Just how much free space do you have? Anything less than 20% from what I've seen using OSX is just asking for problems. I always keep free space at no less than 50% on my hard drives so that may be why I've been so "lucky" as you put it.

Adobe restricting designers to work productively

You have to update the ".inx" (InDesign Interchange) extension in CS1 and CS2 for it to work. Should be able to do that from the applications under help in the file menu.

Won't connect

Ok i got it to work using the preset stations and it works well. Issue now is how do you record? I press the space bar but that pauses it? Better help files would be nice.

Yes, But...

Hey please read Enfocus web page before making such comments. From the web page... - Full compatibility with Adobe® Acrobat® Professional 8, it is now possible to process and create PDF 1.7 files. - This is the first Universal binary version of PitStop Professional. - The latest GWG Packaging PDF Profiles can now be used and are by default added to the standard set of PDF Profiles. - The Action: Convert text to Outlines has a new subcheck: Outline invalid…

Isn't this already built into the application?

Why would you want to convert jpegs to tifs? Converting them to tif files doesn't improve them in any way. The only time I ever bother changing file format is if I need to make modifications such as color correction or image size to the files.

This really solved problems for me

I'm afraid you have it all wrong my friend. The Grey colored fonts are the Font Suitcases containing the screen or bitmap part(s) of the postscript font. The red ones are the printer or outline part. Keep both parts or you will not be able to print to a postscript printer. Here is a good general resource about fonts in general that everyone who uses them should read. http://www.prepressure.com/fonts/fontoverview.htm

No Go On Beige G3 400 mhz Minitower

Some internal CD's can't boot the Panther CD. My G3 266MT internal drive wouldn't boot it. I tried my external Yamaha 8424 scsi and it worked. Funny thing is it could never boot the Jag CD. Try another drive if you have access to one.
