Cocktail 4.5 (Mac OS X)

Works fine for me

Installed and launched version 4.5. Ran it through its Pilot routine and other interface modifications. Not a hint of a bug here. [alert admin]

Apple Mac OS X 10.5.8 (Mac OS X)

No problems updating

Followed the MacFixit recommendations with 3 Macs, and the update process has gone smoothly. I also disconnected all peripherals as a precaution. [alert admin]

Apple iTunes 8.2 (Mac OS X)

Lost about 3000 songs

After updating to 8.2 my library shows about 3000 less tunes than before. Fortunately, i have my library backed up with Time Machine and Super Duper, but this is worrisome... [alert admin]

Dropbox 0.6.402 (Mac OS X)

so far so good

Dropbox is easy and fun to use. 2GB free and you can access it from several computers, including PC's and Linux boxes. It maeks local access easy, but there's also a web interface. the only downside is Dropbox is a bit slow to load on startup on my Macs running 10.5.5. [alert admin]

LaCie Update Tool 2.0.1 (Mac OS X)

So far so good

Ran the LaCie Update Tool 2.0.1 on three LaCie d2 drives connected to both Intel and PPC Macs. One machine is running latest Tiger, the other two are running 10.5.3. Some of the drives were partitioned, and one was not. I had NO issues wiht this tool. [alert admin]

Apple AirPort 5.3.1 (Mac OS X)

Doesn't show up in Software Update

huh? i have several PPC and Intel Macs running Tiger, but none of them indicate (via Software Update) that this update is required. I take it this is specifically for newer machines. [alert admin]

Not a new release

Both PhotoKit 1.2.6 and PhotoKit Sharpener 1.2.6 have been out since 2007. PixelGenius' web site has 7/3/07 as the release date. [alert admin]

CandyBar 3.1.2 (Mac OS X)

love it so far

So far, i've only used CB3 in demo mode, but will probably buy it. I hate the default look of Leopard. The folders and dock are just plain ugly IMHO. With CandyBar and a few clicks I was able to make my Leopard experience a more pleasant one. So i'll fork over the dough, as i don't foresee Apple redesigning the OS until 10.6 (Cheetah?). NOT intended for Snow Leopard

Not true. The developer's site says "PDF Browser Plugin only works in 32-bit mode of Safari. To switch to 32-bit mode select Safari in Finder, choose "Get Info" in the "File" menu and select "Open in 32-bit mode"."
