Cornerstone is a front-end for Subversion, which is a version-control system for maintaining an ongoing history of changes to files. Programmers traditionally use version control for code projects, but it has become popular for people developing websites as well. When I decided to switch from using CVS (the old standard of version control, but a bit long in the tooth these days) to Subversion, I needed a new front end for Subversion. (A lot of people use version control from the command line, but we're Mac users, after all, so give us a nice GUI!). Aside from some awkward, unfinished, or horrible Java-based interfaces, the only two options were Cornerstone and a beta version of something called Versions (which, to its credit, looked promising). I picked up Cornerstone because it was clean, ready-to-use, and in active development. I have no regrets. The interface is excellent and very Mac-like, sufficiently flexible and customizable, and can handles duties both internally (diffs between versions) or with the help of external software (e.g. you want BBEdit to do my diffs). Moving files, renaming directories, creating tags and branches uses Finder-like motions like option-dragging within the Cornerstone window. A quick reference help section offers a nice crib sheet for the user interface, and the Help menu offers a directly embedded copy of the Subversion manual -- a nice touch for those of us not familiar with the depths of Subversion. Support by email has been helpful and quick. My old CVS interface was free, so paying anything for a GUI like this might seem to be "too much," but $60 is a reasonable price for a solid piece of software that I use daily, and all day long. Transmission 1.40 (Mac OS X)
After reading about µtorrent, I downloaded a copy to compare with Transmission (which I've been using for about a year) since some other comments here implied that it was far faster than Transmission. I was more impressed with the µtorrent interface than I expected to be (for a beta), but I was really only interested in speed comparisons, since I'm happy with Transmission's UI already. I just conducted as real-world a comparison as I could -- used µtorrent to download a 700MB, well-seeded file (the tracker reported 7000+ seeders AND leechers, regardess of the connections my clients made). µtorrent downloaded the file in 1:09 (an hour and ten minutes), and I immediately fired up Transmission to duplicate the test. Same basic network activity and computer usage during both tests. Transmission downloaded the exact same torrent in 0:39 -- a bit over half the time of µtorrent. YMMV, of course. But I will continue my ride on the SS Transmission, thank you very much. [alert admin]

Integer Plugin 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Please consider that "Integer Plugin - Mac OS X Handles unsigned 64-bit, signed 64-bit, and unsigned 32-bit integers" doesn't make a whole lot of sense on the VT home page. Plug-in for what? I know it's explained in the longer description, but for those of us without the time to read every description... [alert admin]

fatal Error on Virtual Machine Monitor
I too had problems upgrading from 1970 to the new beta. The first time, I got the VM to launch, and was told to upgrade Parallels Tools. Initiating that upgrade, my mouse cursor froze, and even the clock in the Mac OS stopped ticking. No kernel panic, but I couldn't use the keyboard or mouse, and couldn't force quit. After forcing my machine to reboot, I tried again...this time, the cursor froze while launching the VM.…
