Camino 1.0a1 (Mac OS X)

Keeping an eye on Camino.

This browser's come a long way. The official 1.0 release will probably mark my switching to Camino as my default browser. Outstanding! Nice solid and smooth. Thanks. [alert admin]

Simple CSS 1.2 (Mac OS X)

I love it!

This is my first day with SimpleCSS 1.2 . I'm still getting the hang of how everything works. However, I must say that I am very, very impressed. I'm not a CSS expert. But, from previous pages I've done using simple CSS instructions, the code that's coming out looks good. I tried it, and it works! This app will save me all kinds of time (I won't have to search for all those self-help websites for code/instructions). More importantly, it'll help me understand what I'm doing a whole lot better. It's such a nice, simple program. And really, with CSS growing in popularity, it's a much needed tool. I've come across other apps offering similar features, but they charge a fee. To have this being offered free of charge is really appreciated. Once again, this is the type of deal that proves you can still get quality software in the freeware category. I really want to thank the author/s for developing this app. I don't want to gush, but this app is really hot. Thank you very much. ahem! [alert admin]

TinkerTool 3.3b (Mac OS X)

Glitch?

I submitted a positive review for this utility (this version), but it seems to have been removed. Were any other recent posts removed? Anyway, great app. [alert admin]

P2P Note...

I agree. P2P offers legitimate solutions for many business and personal environments and is an up-and-comer for a lot of corporations. In fact, many companies have already incorporate P2P technology in their infrastructures. Even some pretty big-name law firms are using P2P platforms. (Just do a Google for law firms/legal and peer to peer. Also, do a search for peer to peer and legitimate uses.) Peer-to-Peer provides an excellent, economical alternative for smaller businesses and…

Update installer sucks.

Funny, a person like you, A Z, using the word "mental". That's exactly what your problem is, in my opinion. You really are a fan-atic. LOL!!! Too much! Get a life.

Before anybody says anything, my apologies for the double post/review. It didn't seem to take the first time. My bad.

Compare before paying

Checked out DropTBZ2. It is freeware and does provide some shredding, as well as other security functions. Can't knock a versatile freeware app. Thanks DonSL777! However, as stated in DropTBZ2's own docs, it only overwrites 3x. This may be enough for basic needs. But, there are various software & hardware techniques that can probably thwart it. SecretShredder's shredding levels are far more advanced, imo. Do folks need *that* much shredding power? Maybe. Maybe…

Problems with 0.2.3 and mail issue

Email reply received. Thanks. And, yes, the drag & drop issue has been corrected. Another small bug was fixed, as well. In the prior version, it would shred an actual app, but it wouldn't delete it (you'd have to delete via the Trash). However, the 0.2.3 version now shreds *and* deletes apps, (as it does with files and folders). Okay, after the transaction is complete and a serial number is received, I'll post a full review regarding…

Skewed review star ratings

Um, DonSL777? If you really paid attention, you'd see that each review/rating I posted was relating to a new version of SecretShredder. *And*, the only time I submitted a follow-up comment regarding the same version (0.2.1), I posted no rating. That follow-up comment provided input regarding the Gutmann Method. The author read the post and improved on the product which in turn provided the Mac community with a better version of a much needed utility. There…

This is not the marketing section!

You're right. This is not the marketing section. It's a feedback forum. If you have something to say about a product, that's fine. However, criticizing posters and calling them liars is not cool. I don't work for OnyX and am not a representative of the author in any way, shape or form. So, when I share my opinion about this utility, it's because I feel it deserves mention. If you don't agree, feel free to comment...on…

Infuriating.

Now now A Z, let's not get "despicable" (quoting you from a 2.3 comment you made). Hehe, just kidding, just kidding. Actually, i'm not even using 2.2.1, anymore. I just figured to heck with it, and switched to OnyX 1.2.6 . I'm happy. ;-)
