Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy 1.0.1e (Mac OS X)
Haven't played this game in ages. Got a 32" flat panel TV and wanted to try it out again. Tried installing it but it won't boot on Leopard :-( Nothing at Aspyr's site about this (or any Leopard issues). [alert admin]

Process 2.0.3 (Mac OS X)
While I freely admit that I like several aspects of Process, such as iCal integration (wish for Addressbook integration as well, please), it's Cocoa UI aesthetic, it's document linking IN THEORY), there are some precarious bugs with this app. File saving should indeed be automatic. And I have on occasions experienced it NOT saving when quitting, myself. This induces a high degree of mistrust in the application... and such applications REALLY need rock-solid dependability! File linking is inconsistent -- not from a bug perspective, but rather by design. The Process data files are in fact packages, and SOME file types indeed get "eaten" by Process, as they are moved into your data file's package. This is damned dangerous if you ask me. And, it's a little too aggressive o Process' part, thinking it can be-all and do-all as well as other dedicated applications. Process should simply utilize Finder aliases. This would make tracking of files that are moved, as well as being able to reference one file more than once within Process, easier. My Process data file is littered with broken links. Unless I am not using it properly, the iCal integration is buggy. When I try to set a future iCal event as an alarm, Process puts it in on the DATE CREATED. Also, you cannot fully search note contents; only "Item" (or event heading) text. This is a major problem, as -- at least as far as I can determine -- because a lot of data is "hidden" from Process' search function. I have many Items with the default not loaded with text. But, I can't search this text. Major problem. Also, it would be great if, while being able to preview web pages within Process, an option to "Open page in default browser" would be highly welcome. And yet, with all these problems, I have twice tried OmniOutliner... but have come back to Process. Process feels like a Mac application, whereas Omnioutliner feels like a Windows port. I really like its iCal integration... if I can get it to work properly. Process is in dire need of a major revision and ironing-out of bugs. It's potential is serious. OH! AND PLEASE JUMSOFT do NOT go the way of iCal/Leopard and eliminate the shelf. I absolutely HATE the way Apple changed iCal in this regard. WAY too many clicks/keystrokes to get editing on stuff. Aurora 3.3.1 (Mac OS X)
Untrustworthy -- assuming I did it right
Been using a Mac since 1995 and my VCR doesn't flash 12:00. So, you'd think I would be able to use this application... but no. I just do not understand why it does not work. I wish I could recommend it -- and am a little more lenient with most apps because I want to help the little guys (still let them know of problems, however) -- but AN ALARM CLOCK?? Man, that's do or die. DO OR DIE. [alert admin]

Sped money right out of my wallet!
This software is a godsend for musicians needing to transcribe music or practise to rediculously fast compositions! If you need it, YOU NEED IT. And it works great. [alert admin]

Celestia 1.3.2 (Mac OS X)
And I'm not talking about supernovae! This program locked my Mac up solid. First try, I booted it and saw the slick welcome of the Sun and then swing over to the Earth. Then, I activated the demo. It started on the rotation of the Earth, then hung somewhere in orbit. MY ENTIRE MAC GOT LOCKED. I could move the mouse and that was all. No Force Quit, no nothing. Had to hit the hard reset button. On my second attempt after my reboot, it didn't even get past the Sun. RED ALERT SCOTTIE! [alert admin]

Um, isn't this a weaker or more limited play on Konfabulator? konfabulator has HUNDREDS of widgets for just about anything. And then... there's Tiger's "Dashboard" on the horizon... [alert admin]

SimpleChord 2.3.1 (Mac OS X)
Shouldn't the 11th interval on major and dominant chords also be #11s and not diatonic (which equals a supended interval from the tonic and clashes with the major 3rd)? [alert admin]

You're welcome :) BTW, Menustrip hasn't been updated for quite a while and is not fully functional under Panther. [alert admin]

MenuExpose 1.0 (Mac OS X)
I was interested in trying this out until I saw a screenshot of the UI: http://www.kurand.net/~corun/me.jpg Moving the mouse to the menu, clicking to drop the menu down, then scrolling to the desired Exposé mode is far too cumbersome -- especially when compared to mousing into corners to invoke Exposé (I am aware of the occasional trip up when Exposé is inadvertently invoked using mouse corners). Now, if the UI was simply three, gorgeous Aqua buttons in the menu-bar, one for each mode. Something like menustrip: http://www.macpoweruser.com/menustrip/index.html Nice screenshots, there. Regardless of all that, the fact that you can invoke Exposé using ANY key, multi-button mouse click or corner reallly dictates that MenuExpose is more in the realm of freeware -- at least as it stands with its kludgy UI. Get a clue, Ancient_Boii_Tribe.
Don't slag this guy for being Leopard-only, as the ability for iChat to utilize "theatre" backgrounds is a LEOPARD-ONLY FEATURE. Go complain to the management instead.
