Camino 0.8.2 (Mac OS X)

I actually really like this browser...

As the previous user responded, it renders quicker than other browsers, and what I really like is that it seems to handle Flash movement a lot more steadily and accurately than the other browsers. Not that a fraction of a second render time is really noticable to the naked eye, nor will it make or break your life, it's nice to see that this browser is responsive.

I can't say that I have really had EXTENSIVE experience with Camino, so I am going purely upon a "newbie" opinion here. The last time I used Camino was when they had that absolutely horrid car icon, I swore never to use it again, though with this revision I tried it and really like the evolution of this browser. And finally with this app. there is an icon that looks nice in my dock!

As for the one user who wants a warning message upon closing a window, how about this, DON'T CLICK THE CLOSE BUTTON ON THE TAB if you don't want to close the window, that eliminates the need for yet another gaudy pop-up w arning! Also, perhaps you should try NOT banging your head against brick walls, that just may eliminate the need for a BETTER headache remedy for you! ;-)

I alos like the fact that you can right-click and modify your toolbar in Camino, I wonder if there are many skins available...

Though one thing annoys me, for example in Yahoo mail, the big grey square/rectangle buttons in your menu on screen (ala Firefox style)... those REALLY need to be changed to something else, this is the Apple environment, we need form and function, the very reason why we stay away from PC's, oh, another reason... they suck. But these "little details" are the most important ones.

I'm also wondering about the security of this browser, Firefox thus far holds the trophy with security, if anyone knows, please let us here know.

Overall, thus far, very impressed with this browser. LIke the evolution it's making. I'd like to know more about the details of the app though.

Cheers. [alert admin]

FTPeel still crashes OSX 10.2

Good job guys, I thought that I read correctly when I saw:

What's new in this version:

· FTPeel now runs on Mac OS X 10.2.x again.

Maybe next time? Who knows at this point! [alert admin]

THIS VERSION SUCKS...

Well, almost all of them do as time goes on, it's getting worse. now i can't add people to my buddy list, it gives me a warning that says "ONE OR MORE MODIFICATIONS TO YOUR BUDDY LIST MAY NOT BE SAVED"

Whats up AIM people! get a clue on how to dev. a functioning application. Of should I say... keep a previously functioning application working. [alert admin]

to F--knARight...

You cretinous primate, is this what you do in your spare time? Well, NOW you see why we want MAC ONLY applications, to keep PeeCee fools such as yourself AWAY. Hotline used to be MAC ONLY, and once the PeeCee'ers came in, in came the kiddie porn, we don't want that in OUR world. We also don't get hacked like you Microsoftian slugs do.

It's nice to be able to travel the "high road" with other intellectuals instead of being bogged down by dolts and skript kiddies such as yourself. We're not cutting ourselves off from 3/4 of the world, we're elevating ourselves above 3/4 of the word. Big diffference there pal, but then, the only thing you'd understand about elevating yourself is to get up off your own flabby rump and get a new Schlitz Malt Liquor... but then, you probably have one of your 32 children just run to the local trailerpark mini-mart and do it for you.

And if the extent of your vocabulary is words such as "idiot" and you spell "you're" as your... well, you can see why we Mac users don't want you uneduated PC cretins around. Oh, and by the way, the END of a sentence requires a (.) not 3 of them, that implies that we're supposed to carry over to another paragraph full of this worthless dreck. Oh, and just so you know, the company is NOT Mac, it's called APPLE... if you're going to rip, at least try to rip proper. And you have the gall to call us idiots... hmmmmm. Now, you go on about your merry little lemming-like Microsoftian brainwashed walk of death and have a spectacular day now. [alert admin]

Nice app, but...

mine keeps crashing.... 4 times in the past 4 launches. More unstable than Enchilada PR1.

really really really needs admin controls, i know that's coming you say, but how long will it be exactly!

Also, bookmarks don't always add in, then eventually they just show up. and sometimes they double-up being added. [alert admin]

Why knock 10.2.6 users?

Why do people feel compelled to "hack" those who use 10.2.6 still... There ARE problems with EVERY OS, depending upon the config of your system, as some have stated, their iMacs won't support it (I run 10.2.8 and it works fine for me, I won't up to 10.3 yet til ALL bugs are gone), and in the case of RUNNING A BUSINESS (as I do myself)... I think generating funds and keeping clients happy and employees employed is MUCH more important that fiddling with an OS and trying to fine-tune it for weeks just to have some upgrades that, in the long run, won't make your business any more money. But then I'm talking REAL-WORLD cost analysys - oportunity cost here, which some on here eobviously can't begin to comprehend. [alert admin]

Jasmine 1.7.3 (Mac OS X)

Where to sart.. or END I should say...

OK, I guess I should start here... I get about 10 seconds of viewing "pleasure" if you call it that... but in that few seconds... man is this an ugly looking application.... Purple and Yellow technicolor vomit all over my screen! I thought for a second... Did I accidentally start up KDX or something!

Ten seconds later (if that much) this application crashed...

Started Jasmine again... 8 seconds later... CRASH!

Started Jasmine again... 5 seconds later... CRASH!

Started Jasmine again... 2 seconds later... CRASH!

This application has arificial intelligence, AMAZING!!!!! It gets increasingly faster (by roughly 3 seconds) the more you open it.... too bad it gets faster at CRASHING! Pretty soon the application will just inform me not to even bother trying to start it and that it will unexpectedly quit on it's own if I try. I wonder if they can implement a feature to make it phone me at home ahead of time so I don't even bother opening it.

Put Jasmine into trash, EMPTIED! Back to SoundStudio !!

Oh, I had the exact same experience with the previous few releases as well. [alert admin]
