SpamStopper 1.6.0 (Mac OS X)
Been hiding email addresses on my site for quite awhile now... Works as it should, free - if everything were this good... [alert admin]

CDFinder 4.7 (Mac OS X)
CD Finder goes way beyond it's name in that it can catalog more than just CD's. I've used it because it can see into Stuffit and Zip files to find what I'm looking for. But it has also proved to be a speedier tool for finding files on the host computer as well. For me, with 1000's of photos, I can find all that I have both cataloged and what's on the machine in a couple of seconds in one list. Spotlight cannot do that, and as such, I use this product more for finding images for my workflow. If you have to sort through big finds to find what you're looking for, give this a try. It's works well, stable and the price is good. [alert admin]

Yasu 1.3 (Mac OS X)
Had a problem, I selected a few routines, and it got stuck on "Clear font cache"... Let it run for an hour, still no change and had to force quit. Otherwise shows great promise... [alert admin]

ColorSafe 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Maybe it's just me, but for myself and the monitor I work on, it would be better if it was slightly larger. At 1920x1200 it's easy to click on the wrong color. But this could be handy... [alert admin]

Notes 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Does what it advertises... I wish there was a way to change the date format (suggestion for 1.1?). Pretty quick, which is nice for taking quick notes... [alert admin]

Ashampoo CD 2 iPod 1.63 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
One reason I won’t deal with this company is the amount of spam you get once you present them with your email address. It took over a year and multiple threatening letters to get these morons to take me off their lists. I hope they have changed by now, but be forewarned... [alert admin]

Tsunami 1.0 (Mac OS X)
The scope of disaster of the tsunami is horrible - but this software is a downer. The download took forever, and the program takes forever to launch, just to display information we already know (over 150,000) dead. Then, it becomes a pitch to send money to relief organizations (which, is a noble effort). But it is annoying to use... Speed, guys, that's the thing! Today's society doesn't want to wait! In it's favor, I like the transparent icon... And Ray, get a life. Some of us Americans stand behind our President, and we don't give a rat's behind what you think... [alert admin]

EOS Image Manager 1.0 (Mac OS X)
I have to say (being that my old, scathing post was still visible) the speed, which was my biggest complaint, has been dealt with and is greatly improved. NOW you have my attention! If you visit the developer’s web site, you’ll see that RAW image support and EXIF features are planned (which are necessary for my workflow). Now I can say: Not bad. For free, a nice addition that picks up where iPhoto leaves off. If you can’t afford Photoshop, Portfolio or iView, it’s a good alternative. As far as the EOS in the name, all this talk about it begs the question, what does the EOS in the name mean? If it is a take on the Canon name, then it’s kind of silly not supporting the Canon RAW files... [alert admin]

Monster Fair 1.1.5 (Mac OS X)
I have quite a few Little Wing pinball games and this was appears to be one of the better designed ones. JZ had the power to drain too easily, but this one was more realistic to play. I’ll be getting this one from Santa... [alert admin]

Well, I understand it, and I agree, it’s crap. It’s time to put down the crack pipe - if astrology were what it claims to be, how come all the civilizations that followed it have perished?... If you like diversions, eh, to each his own, but if you take this stuff seriously, you just might need drugs. If your head ever clears, they are stars too distant for us to ever travel to and too…
