Font Viewer 4.14 (Mac OS X)
As far as I could tell, there is no way to switch between the system's core fonts and ones you might light to view (say, on a CD). [alert admin]

SoundConverter 20051115 (Mac OS X)
I have used (and paid for) previous version of this application for years, and it always did the job. In fact, it was one of my favorite apps since it was so handy. HOWEVER, this latest version doesn't work at all. No matter if I open it first, or drag 'n drop. It starts to run and then, nothing. Just sits there. I hope the developer comes up with a new version that will run, as I would continue to use it. [alert admin]

SonicMood 4.1 (Mac OS X)
I applaud the idea behind this app . . . but . . . With all the New Age internet stations that are avialable, why spend the $10 for what you can get for free? I found the graphics to be of poor quality (at least at the resolution I work). When I put my thinking cap on and want alternative sound in the background I listen to www.mountainradio.com, but that's just me. I do look forward to new versions of this software. A worthy endeavor! [alert admin]

Sound Studio 3.0 (Mac OS X)
This is also a classic example of a company buying out another developer when they have no business doing so. These guys are gamers, which of course requires audio, but that's not thier primay focus. And, yes, not having a tryout version is simply bad marketing. Maybe the company should rename themselves "Reverse" instead of "Freeverse". [alert admin]

Sound Studio 3.0 (Mac OS X)
Looks like someone just got greedy without adding any features justifying a hefty price bump. Users have been pleading for years for multi-track, but its fallen on deaf ears. If the developer were to incorporate that, it would (to me) justify the increase in cost. At this point I think I'll check out the BIAS line. [alert admin]

Acquisition 119.3 (Mac OS X)
I love this app, but the latest version causes my G4 Dual 800 OS 10.3.9 to crash after 10 to 30 minutes, even when I'm just letting it idle without other apps running. Frustratining. [alert admin]

Apple iMovie HD 5.0.1 (Mac OS X)
I think what everyone suspects, has happened. I'm guessing that Apple messed up by releasing iMovie HD as an upgrade, when it's probably only available in the new iLife suite. Checking Apple's site, there's no provision for upgrading. If you bought the iLife suite (like I did for $49) I'll bet you better be ready to shell out $79 for the new suite. Apple never has quite grasped the upgrade concept. [alert admin]
