OSXplanet 2.0b02 (Mac OS X)

Finally - it is back...

I missed OSXplanet since I moved to Leopard. Now it is back - and I really enjoy it. It works as well as before. Still in beta, though, but everything works fine for me. Good to have you back! [alert admin]

iCab X 4.0 (Mac OS X)

Amazingly fast, well worth a try!

There was a time when I had great hopes in iCab as a valid alternative to IE... way back in the pre-Safari times. Then Safari and Firefox came around and made iCab obsolete - so I thought. But now... iCab 4.0 is FAST - really fast. I do think it is worth a try. I paid the shareware fee to encourage further development which will hopefully iron out some glitches (Yahoo mail, logging out of Windows Exchange web-mail...). And it does have some very nice features which Firefox can only match up to with plug-ins. Thanks for a nice addition to the browser-scene. Axel [alert admin]

OldFolder 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)

Thanks a lot!

This was for me the greatest downside of upgrading to Leopard. I have no clue why Apple got rid of the hierarchical menu interface for folders (as much as I never understood why we lost the Apple Menu Items from MacOS 9 to MacOS X). [alert admin]

EndNote X1 (Mac OS X)

Any word on compatibility with Microsoft Office (Word) 2008?

... I really do not want to pay for ANOTHER update in less than 6 months... [alert admin]

Apple Mac OS X Intel 10.4.9 (Mac OS X)

Reset PARM if DVDs don't mount after update

After applying the update from 10.4.8 on my MacBook Pro, DVDs did no longer mount. Resetting the PRAM solved this problem. [alert admin]

WindowShade X 4.1.1 (Mac OS X)

It finally works!

I have had trouble getting WindowShade X to work on my MacBook Pro with 10.4.8 installed. As of this version (4.1.1) it works as promised. Finally! [alert admin]

OSXplanet 1.0 (Mac OS X)

I am so glad...

...that OSXplanet is now Universal. It is by far the best real-time desktop background out there. I would encourage everyone to give it a try - and donate!!! It is well worth it. [alert admin]

EndNote X (Mac OS X)

Universal Binary...

While this new version does not offer a lot of new features, if you own an Intel-Mac this upgrade is a MUST. The speed gain is amazing when EndNote is freed from Rosetta. Again, I would really like a more user-friendly upgrade policy. $90 for a software DL, and this on an almost yearly basis is way too much! [alert admin]

Data Rescue II 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)

God of Recovery

I am amazed- A-Mazed! After running a few scripts from MainMenu to "prevent Mac disasters" (ie. deleting cache files), my directory data files SOMEHOW ended up corrupt and the hard drive would no longer mount. Scheisse! After disk utility and Disk Warrior 3.03, no data... Data Rescue II quick scan ran for 20 minutes and recovered all info that I needed, and even preserved the volume structure. ProSoft Engineering, Inc are gods and should be worshipped accordingly. I pay homage to them and their noble creation, Data Rescue II. [alert admin]

OSXplanet 0.88 (Mac OS X)

This one of the applications...

... which are met with awe and astonishment by my PC friends. And it is freeware! Cudos to OSXplanet, one of the outstanding applications on the Mac. [alert admin]

buggy

Hoesntly, I have no idea what your problem could be - unless you really haven't checked your menu bar for a new icon which allows you to control the application.

No Serial number from Digital River

Hmm, I don't know what happened to you, but it worked fine for me. I did get a SN as upgrade number, meaning I had to use my old and new SN to register ENX - no problems.
