SimpleView 2.2.2 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Small and effective viewer, great response

SimpleView is the best and most handy viewer I have seen for OS X so far. And the developer reacted damn quickly when I reported a crashbug with Panther. I just wish for more features, i.e. a tag-list, batch rescale files, ... [alert admin]

Halime 1.0rc2b (Mac OS X)

Development stopped, Source available?!?

I also experienced crashes from time to time when I was using Halime some time ago. I planned to give it another try about a week ago, but I was shocked to read that Imdat stopped development. On the other hand it was interesting to see that he made the source code available, so we are now free to work on it :) If there anyone who took a look? A community? I just implemented a "remember selected row after deleting postings" which I was always hoping for, so maybe others do similar things and probably also find causes for crashes? Installs and works pretty well over here... So far no problem (apart from a missing disk full warning). Developer also seems to be very responsive via email. This tool helped me alot and not just that, it is offered for free! [alert admin]

Please add an Exif-date -> filename feature

I am indeed looking for a picture file renamer, but I need specific features. I would like to see an option to append/prepend parts of the EXIF-date-info to the filenames, so "Pic0001.jpg" from 23rd of July 2003 -> "20030723_Pic0001.jpg" "Pic0001.jpg" from 26th of July 2003 -> "20030726_Pic0001.jpg" ... [alert admin]
