OnyX 1.9.6b2 (Mac OS X)
I have been using Onyx for many years, and have found it to be stable, frequently updated, simple to use, and the automation features are great. This being said, it is your own responsibility to ensure that you are not using a BETA version, and UNDERSTAND what you are doing to start with. I would suggest that you NOT randomly begin to delete various system and kernel caches, etc, unless you are CERTAIN that you want to in order to cure a specific problem. Or suffer the consequences. This is a great tool, that allows access to many parameters that would ordinarily require Terminal. I consider this to be a "must have" tool. [alert admin]

Microsoft Office 2008 12.1.0 (Mac OS X)
I installed 12.1 on my MacBook Pro 2.2, OS X 10.5.2 with no issues whatsoever. I quit all running processes first, repaired permissions afterwards with Onyx automation, then restarted, and v12.1 is running flawlessly. I have noticed a small speed increase in the scrolling of long docs as well. (Word). Ancient Boii dude: I understand that you don't like the product. You don't have to, but posting 3 or 4 flame type comments with a 1 star rating on each of them is not what these forums are for, and it's dishonest. I also don't believe you. You've been around these forums long enough to know how to install a MS product, i.e. quitting background apps, and repairing permissions afterward. I've heard you be quite humorous and helpful in the past. Not today. Your posts here are tiresome, bitter and mean-spirited. You're slipping Ancient Boy. [alert admin]

DVD2oneX 2.2.1 (Mac OS X)
I'd like to commend the developer for releasing this bug fix within literally a couple days. This new release (2.2.1) seems to have fixed the crash upon launch problem I was experiencing. [alert admin]

DVD2oneX 2.2.0 (Mac OS X)
I had to remove this and revert to 2.1. The app wouldn't launch, or rather would quit as soon as it opened. Repairing permissions and restarting did no good. There is obviously a severe bug here somewhere, as it appears that a lot of others are experiencing the same thing. MacBook Pro 2.2GHz, 2GB RAM. [alert admin]

Apple MacBook Pro EFI Firmware 1.5.1 (Mac OS X)
I used Software Update, followed the shutdown; hold restart button until quick flashing sleep light, procedure as prompted, and the whole procedure was over in less than 4 minutes. No problems whatsoever. To be safe I repaired permissions afterwards. Macbook Pro 2.2 GHz [alert admin]

Now Up-to-Date & Contact 5.3.2 (Mac OS X)
This update installed without issue for me, and seems to be working fine. I have not experienced the issues that other users seem to be experiencing. I, too, am outraged and incredibly angry over the fact that I paid for the Nighthawk upgrade over 1 year ago, and STILL have not seen anything besides vaporware, endless delays, insufficient status updates, and generally just more bullsh*t and excuses. However, I am still willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, as there really isn't a comparable alternative to this in the mac market, and as far as I can tell from the forums, it looks like they are quite close to finally releasing this. I have used NUTD since system 7. I only hope that Nighthawk will finally get released within the next month or so. If not, then sadly, I too will have to abandon this desperately struggling ship of a company for either Daylight, or iCal, and at that point, I will not look back. [alert admin]

To the reviewer that graded this 2 stars based upon the interface: This is a financial utility for converting data files. Not a game, or eye candy. What's more, it is one of the most inexpensive and reasonably priced utilities out there, considering the fact that (to my knowledge) this is the ONLY utility out there for the mac that performs these functions. The author is responsive, and this WORKS, and it works well. If you want pretty, go play a game, or buy a MS product at 10 times the cost. I personally will settle for functionality and stability, a reasonable price, and a responsive developer any day. You have every right to post a comment about the interface, but the star rating is meant to be used for reviewing the software, and how it performs its intended function. [alert admin]

Dali Clock 2.25 (Mac OS X)
This is a great little utility that does exactly what it says, and for those of us Mac users that have been around since system 6 or so, it;s nostalgic. Thanks to the author. itailu is unfair, inaccurate, and dishonest. His review is a waist (sic) of time... [alert admin]

First, to albabe: If you don't know what crash logs are, you are obviously not experienced enough to be reviewing anything here. Period. Save your hysterical rant and grossly unfair review for somewhere else. Perhaps the developers forum? Gee what a concept. I suggest calling or emailing their tech support first. I have used this on my powerbook G4 1.5GHz, as well as my dual 533 MHz G4 desktop, and it performs flawlessly on both. It's fast, stable, and easy to use. Especially for me, where the only tweaking I want to do is to throttle/limit my upload speed while downloading for a more efficient ratio. For anyone that really wants/needs to get under the hood of a bit torrent client, and tweak everything imaginable, try Azureus, although it has a much larger system footprint. The only problem I've noticed with Transmission is that it will occasionally quit on me. It doesn't happen often, and it simply quits, without crashing. Weird. Other than that, it is my favorite bittorrent client. [alert admin]

Yes, I did leave an email for the developer, and if you had read the forum that you so blithely and arrogantly suggest that I read, you would discover that this is not an isolated incident. And I'm not shouting, either... This was also not a review, but a troubleshooting comment. It is left to warn others not to trash an earlier version before they know this works on their machine. If yours works, that's just lovely. There is nothing…

I tried your suggestion, including creating the InputManagers folder in the root System folder, and nothing works. I tried both these commands in Terminal: sudo chown -R root:admin /System/Library/InputManagers as well as sudo chown -R root:admin /Library/InputManagers OS X 10.5.1, G$ 1.67 GHz Any Suggestions? Thanks!

You're right, my mistake. Page sender isn't free, it's $39.95, or 20.00 for an upgrade. I just got carried away... Compared to what this developer is asking, it seems almost free... :-)

Hmmm, I would check other possible causes for your problems. (particularly any new, possibly corrupt fonts that may have been installed by MS (try using ONYX to delete your font cache)) While I don't particularly care for M$ as a company, their mac apps have always been rock solid, and I have used the office suite since OS 6.1.7 without any problems whatsoever. I'm now using office 11.3 and OS x 10.4.8
