StuffIt Expander 12.0.1 (Mac OS X)
When I installed this I looked for the Stuffit Setup Assistant as per the advice in the installer window suggested but was not able to find it anywhere. Huh? Any comments on this? thx [alert admin]

Bookit 3.5 (Mac OS X)
I love this app and has been indespensable for me transfering bookmarks to other browsers. This Camino problem, however, is a real pain. I contacted the developer who responded quickly saying that the bug would be remedied within a week. Well it's been more than that now, and if you-the author-read these comments, I, and I'm certain quite a few others would like to know when we can expect an update. Wonderful application. Cocktail 3.6.1 (Mac OS X)
The new version is missing the Pre-Binding feature (as mentioned by others) and after updating launch services and restarting, my menu bar appears in pieces with items out of usual order. To get things back in order I restart again and sometimes get hung up with a blue screen that can only be gotten out of by holding in the start button-ala kernal panic time-and restarting that way. Emails to the developer have gone unanswered. This makes me nervous so I tried to use the uninstall. That would not work either. Manually removed it and downloaded a fresh version but had the same problems arise. Anyone have any ideas about this, or reasons for the behavior? I have been using *censored*tail for over a year and this is just not right. [alert admin]

DashOff 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Just hit F12 and it's off. Yes. But the icon in the dock tells me it is on, and presumably eating up RAM. Checking the Activity Monitor I can't tell how much, but I know it must be and I have no use for Dashboard anyway. I will use this but would really like to know how to find out how much RAM Dashboard itself does use. If I have a widget turned on it will be in Activity Monitor and the average usage is about 20 megs. [alert admin]

I downloaded it from the neuromixer.com site bypassing the Versiontracker link, and also through the Versiontracker link. No problem here. [alert admin]

Beholder Lite 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)
Sounded good. Used once and got nary a smidge of what I did with Google Images and then a kernal panic hit. iMac G4 10.3.6. [alert admin]

Adobe Reader 6.0.3 (Mac OS X)
This does not recognise my 6.0.2 version as "valid" so it will not update. This is a first. [alert admin]

LimeWire X 4.1.9 (Mac OS X)
...after so many bad reviews, and then some positive ones showed up. Played hell with permissions and greyed out the "New Folder" menu selections for hard drive and external drive. Slow. Oh, did I mention that it is slow...VERY SLOW! Why can't I enter a song title, with artist, and not get just those results? Where does all of this "Ruby Likes Big Cocks" stuff come from? Don't know what it has done elsewhere on my machine but if I ever decide to try it again I'll set up a new user account for it. I would suggest repairing permissions before downloading, and then right after installing this app. Oh yeah, OS 10.3.6. I really wish somebody would provide me with some reasons for why this is a good program. Am I missing something? I would like to share my library with others and also get from them. [alert admin]

BushPanic 1.0.0 (Mac OS X)
Download fine. Works great. What happened to the first review? Moronic, right wing vitriol is always a blast to read. That's why I look forward to reading the comments when those "terror alert" apps are posted. Anyway, it's fun to play for a quick giggle. [alert admin]

Careful - they place ads in your listing
Angers me as well. Tell them you will accept the promo only if you get a cut of their advertising budget. Only fair don't you think?

maya persona; learning edition
I have the impression that once submitting my e-mail address to Maya prevents me from further downloads. Does this sound plausible?
