Help! I installed it and when I open Safari, it won't open a window. Selecting new Window or New Tab does nothing. So, Safari is broken! Where is it located? I didn't see it in Internet Plugins or the Safari folder in Home/Library. How do I uninstall? I have a MacBook with 10.5.4 and no weird extras like Shapeshifter. [alert admin]

Microsoft Office 2008 12.1.0 (Mac OS X)
Does this update make any of the apps FASTER? They are slower than Office 2004!!!!!!!!! PATHETIC!!!!!!! I came to the conclusion MS ordered the MacBU to make 2008 slow. Plain and simple. Why would a native version be slower than an emulated version, especially when as far as I can tell, they haven't added any new features, except a stupid toolbar which is less useful? I really liked Office X and 2004. 2008, after losing VBA, getting slower, and having a crappier interface, is really, really unimpressive. I think they should pay us to use it, not the other way around. If anyone has 2004 and is thinking about upgrading: don't. [alert admin]

I concur with the below post. Safari 3.1 can not log in to multiple bulletin board sites. Firefox 3 can, so I know it's the browser. Safari started out as a good idea. But the performance and stability are becoming atrocious. Far worse than Firefox 3. Which is also faster. Moreover, it seems like it keeps getting worse. Apple, if you are reading this: I don't know what has been going on under the hood, but Safari 3 became much less stable, with worse performance. 3.1 is even worse! A few other ongoing things: 1. They have yet to add a real Downloads and History window. Internet Explorer 5 from a DECADE ago has these. Copy Firefox or IE for these. 2. Add a New Tab button. 3. Memory use: ridiculous. 4. Processor use: ridiculous. My MacBook fan revs up to full tilt with Safari routinely. In fact, I have to restart Safari regularly, to regain RAM and CPU. Maybe they need to switch from KHTML to Mozilla? Half-serious here...Firefox 3 is looking really nice and I have finally made the switch today. I recommend FF3 to everyone! [alert admin]

iCab X 4.0 (Mac OS X)
I agree! This thing is the fastest browser. Period!! Wow! This guy beat out Opera, Safari, and Firefox! I hope Apple hires him! Safari needs a kick in the pants--for a "fast" "light" browser, it's the slowest buggiest dog on my Mac. Firefox is better which is sad. [alert admin]

Acquisition 132.7 (Mac OS X)
Acquisition won't FIND anything when it searches! Nothing!
With the latest version, it won't find anything when it searches. Very disappointing! Because it was the best Gnutella app. All the others are real kludges with far less powerful sorting/searching interfaces. I hope sometime soon he gets around to updating/fixing this! [alert admin]

Parallels Desktop 3.0 Build 5144.0 (Mac OS X)
Does this build CRASH ALL THE TIME like the last one? I'm also pretty mad that installing 3 killed version 2.5 I have a useless Parallels situation now. Thanks Parallels. Stop worrying about bells and whistles if it's unstable. If it doesn't work, shiny bells and whistles aren't that useful now are they? 2.5 was great. Please make it stable! I'm on 10.4.10 on a MacBook if this matters...with a gig of RAM. [alert admin]

XFactor 0.25 (Mac OS X)
So is this the new poisoned? And aren't they in a fight? Poisoned doesn't get updated anymore and after .515 got unstable and unresponsive. Still it seems all giFT clients can't handle massive loads. I'm on a PBG4 12" 867mhz 640 RAM Panther 10.3.5 and XFactor slows to a crawl with over 100 downloads in progress. So did poisoned. Grr... Annoying. I keep poisoned around for a second download list. I type a band and select all then hit Download and sort out the mess later. XFactor is shweet. I don't really know what you could add to it. It needs to fix the bug with sorting by column like what poisoned had (because they stole their code??) plus um a cooler icon, yea. ROCK! XFactor I <3 you guys! [alert admin]
