Emoji 1.0 (Mac OS X)

question

Do those you're sending messages to also have to have emojis enabled in order to see the icons? [alert admin]

Gutenprint 5.2.2 (Mac OS X)

Uninstalls Epson printers Bug

I've been using Gutenprint as the driver for my Epson 1160 ever since moving to OSX years ago. So I was happy to see the 5.2.2 update had gone golden. But once I installed it I was unhappy to find that it removed the contents of /usr/local/bin which is where the CUPS elements reside. I could no longer print to the 1160, until I downgraded back to Gp 5.0.2. I then tried upgrading to 5.22 again, keeping the /usr/local/bin window open; and sure enough the install process removed the elements again. This time I had first backed them up, and I was able to install them manually. It was the Gutenprint Utility for Epson Inkjet Printers (which I used to print nozzel checks) that alerted me to the location of the missing files; other wise I wouldn't have had a clue where to look for them. I'm pretty sure these file are not supposed to be removed, or that they should have been replaced with something newer. [alert admin]

DiskWarrior 4.1.1 (Mac OS X)

Won't update previous update CD

Apparently this update is only for original Diskwarrior CDs, not for CDs created by a previous update. So if you updated from version 4 to 4.1 after Leopard was released, you will receive a message from the update application that your CD is not eligible. [alert admin]

Apple iPhone 1.1.4 (Mac OS X)

No it's not 2.0

This is not the new iPhone 2.0 OS. Why this item has appeared on Versiontracker is a mystery. Either someone is overly impatient, or they have linked the wrong file. But at tbis point, the Apple web site doesn't show the upgrade yet. [alert admin]

Oxford English 1.21 (Mac OS X)

Format change

The new format for the dictionary (text710.dat) doesn't seem to be recognized by the widget. Following the steps that the widget presents, after downloading and expanded the archive, the last steps send me back to the first step. Is the widget still looking for a file called ascii-0710-1.tar? The instructions still use that name. [alert admin]

Readiris Pro 11.6.3 (Mac OS X)

Intel compatible?

The requirements list 10.4 PPC and other OSX versions, but say nothing about Intel processors. Does it only work on older Macs? If it does work on Intel processors, will it work with Leopard? [alert admin]

Firefox 2.0.0.11 (Mac OS X)

Can't get it to launch

This version (2.0.0.11) won't launch on Leopard 15.1. Previous versions worked well. [alert admin]

FinderPop 2.0.1 (Mac OS X)

Doesn't work with Leopard

Something in Leopard's use of contextual menus changed, and FinderPop no longer works. Hierarchical menus in the dock don't work either. [alert admin]

CUPS-PDF 2.4.6 (Mac OS X)

Does it still work with Leopard?

Since upgrading to Leopard and reinstalling version 2.4.6, I can't seem to add the Virtual Printer. Leopard lacks the Printer Set Up Utility, and now you can only add printers (or so it seems) while in the print dialog. I'm not sure if holding the option key down while adding a printer this way has the same effect as it did with the dedicated utility. [alert admin]

Blender 2.45rc1 (Mac OS X)

Not for Intel

This release candidate is for PowerPC Macs. No Intel processor version seems to be available yet. The previous intel version 2.44 is available from the developer's site. [alert admin]

Try this link http://www.wacom.com/productsupport/download.cfm?id=181&product=ET and then click on the Alternate Download site. It worked for me, about a 4 minute download.

OS X Printer Utility Compatibility

There is no OSX Printer utility. If you are referring to the icon in the Printer Setup Utility, then you need to install the actual print driver for your brand of printer. Epson printers, for example, require you switch to their own driver before you can use the Epson Utility. If you have an Intel Mac you can find newer Intel versions of the drivers on their web site. Without an Intel print driver for…

Nope

It doesn't download from the Wacom site either. Somethings damaged on their server. The VT link is to that same source.

This (and the other Intel updates on the Flaming Pear website) work with both Photoshop CS2 and CS3. But the incredible speed of the CS3 combination makes it the hands down way to go. Previews faster and renders faster.

change in 'auto' adjustment handling

This is how RAW is done in the beta of PCS3 [and Bridge 2]. A lot of people were unhappy with that choice (or rather lack of choice). If you're not using either of the two new cameras supported, I see no reason to update to this version of ACR.
