Guitar Tuner 5.0.6 (Mac OS X)
Most moronic tuner UI yet. Avoid like the plague. [alert admin]

Cubase SX 3.0.2.622 (Mac OS X)
Try upgrading. The problems you described were solved over a year ago. You are complaining about a V2.0 product. This is an announcement for a 3.0 upgrade. If you still have your copy of SX2.xx, upgrade it to 2.2.0b39 here: ftp://ftp.pinnaclesys.com/Steinberg/download/Downloads_MAC/OSX/Cubase_SX/Cubase_SX_220b39/Cubase_SX_2.2.0.39_Update.dmg And while you're at it, upgrade the Syncrosoft driver as well. Folder Icon X 2.0.4 (Mac OS X)
In spite of the updates for things like "moved a button 8 pixels to the right" this thing works like a charm. On the other hand, VIOU should be avoided like the plague. It will start replacing folder icons all over your drive with icons you never selected. Very bad code and a crappy interface to boot. Stick with Folder Icon X. [alert admin]

VSamp 3.5 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
Besides sporting a horrid user interface, it now crashes a popular host sequencer on launch. Way to go. [alert admin]

Cubase SX 3.0.1.514 (Mac OS X)
There is also an additional upgrade for version 2 as well. For those of you who haven't upgraded to version 3, Version 2 was updated today to 2.2.0b39. [alert admin]

Skype 0.12.0.8 (Mac OS X)
This version may be buggier than the last...
First thing I noticed was that I can't set the Launch on Bootup to off. No matter how many times I checked that off, the program kept launching on boot. And then Dock icons began to disappear or ones that were never assigned to the dock began to appear as questionmarks. This all started immediately after installing 12.0.8. Permission repairs and rebootings didn't help. It all stopped after removing 12.0.8 and everything it placed around the system drive. I don't recommend this version. [alert admin]

Super DX-Ball 1.00 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
Constantly crashes, taking the entire machine down. Crapware. And don't believe the "homey" website. There is no tech support or refund. Avoid like the plague. [alert admin]

Hammerfall DSP 1.5e (Mac OS X)
What a relief. It works. Now if they'd imbed the version number in the installer it'd be perfect. [alert admin]

Cubase SX 3.0 (Mac OS X)
OK...someone from VT needs to fix this.
It's becoming obvious this listing is not Steinberg's doing...as there are no announcements on their own forum. Look closely here and you'll see the blurb is for Cubase SX 2.0, not 3.0... which hasn't been updated since its release. SX2.0 hasn't been updated since May. Both (that's right, both) have been slated for maintenence releases at the end of the month. If this listing is the work of some maniacal VT update bot...it needs to be checked and fixed. He's right. There is nothing on that page that suggests Intel 10.5 compatibility in any of the downloads presented. It's so typically Abobe.

Stop the presses? People should be warned about this. Once, this was a terrific find for OSX users...but since Tiger, this program has become extremely unstable. Gee, I hope it doesn't trash your drive like it did mine. I would suggest to all Tiger users to abandon it and pay the $15 bucks for Cocktail and piece of mind.

As an audio professional, I didn't buy it for memory killing Widets and time consuming Spotlight searches across everything I'm connected to. Tiger brought major changes and improvements to Core Audio and Core MIDI. That's why I bought it. This app is a godsend. That's why.

Google is using the EXACT same maps that Terrabrowser uses with some notable exceptions: (1) Google doesn't zoom in anywhere near as close as Terrabrowser does (2) Google doesn't display a streetmap overlay. (3) Google distorts the picture with a false vanishing point perspective. So no, I'd say they don't have something here.

Sorry...it isn't a low battery issue.
There's another little freeware app that seems to mysteriously work correctly with my equipment: GPSUtility 1.01. Now how is it that two FREEWARE apps can connect but yours can't? Check your code boys.

Works great? Using what USB/Serial adapter? What adapter driver? What software revision in the SPIII? What model Mac? What OS? What OS version? I have a screenshot of GPS Connect working perfectly with my Dual 2.0 G5/OSX 10.3.5 from my SPIII (rev2.80) via a Keyspan USA-19HS (driver ver.1.8). And brand new batteries. So I know it isn't my hardware or software. This is a Link2GPS issue.
