DiskWarrior 4.2 (Mac OS X)

You can use DiskWarrior 4.2 with Mac OS X 10.5.x (Leopard).

My email to Alsoft Support: Dear Support, Can the updated Disk Warrior program 4.2 safely repair the 10.5.8 version of the Mac OS? Or do I need to use DW v4.1.1 on Leopard? Charles You can use DiskWarrior 4.2 with Mac OS X 10.5.x (Leopard). -- Marc ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Marc Moorash, Alsoft Technical Support Email: tech.support@alsoft.com [alert admin]

AirRadar 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Thumbs up

Tried this new application and compared it to iStumbler. AirRadar was slightly more sensitive (reported more networks), but the extra sensitivity might not matter to most users because the extra listed network had more noise than signal. AirRadar interface is clean. No problems using it. And it's free. [alert admin]

iGlasses 2.1 (Mac OS X)

As a registered and paid user of this useful program

I can't help feeling impatient that the demo for v2.1 is available and we registered and paid users have to wait to be emailed by the developer with a key for the new version...wait for an unknown amount of time... [alert admin]

gMailContacts 1.4 (Mac OS X)

Maybe this is good, but why pay...

An app named ab2csv does the job perfectly and it's free. Unable to locate the "A to G" program that someone else recommended, also free, I found this and tried it. It was simple, easy and it worked. Available here: http://www.antoniolore.net/ab2csv.php I have no relationship with any of the authors of these programs. [alert admin]

Serial Mail 3.10 (Mac OS X)

Leopard update coming...

Am 15.11.2007 um 00:55 schrieb Charles Stevenson: Dear Sir, Wondering if you are going to update your fine Serial Mail program for Leopard... Charles Yes. I will try to fix the Leopard incompatibilities. Serial Mail currently works only if you select "Text only" in Serial Mail preferences. But you lose formatting and attachments then. Periscope 1.5.1 (Mac OS X)

Periscope vs my old favorite EvoCam

Periscope set up to save photos to a folder and to email photos used about 8.5% of CPU (says Activity Monitor), while EvoCam set up to save photos to a folder used about 13.5% of CPU. Aluminum iMac 2.8 GHz, 4GB. The Periscope interface, definitely more attractive, also seems easier to figure out than EvoCam's. However, Periscope does not record movies, just photos. For my purposes, mainly security using the motion detector to store or email photos, Periscope wins. I do not do FTP, so cannot comment on uploading. And I have not used the EvoCam record movie feature. [alert admin]
