Windows Media Player 9.0 (Mac OS X)
The installer consistently fails. Hangs at "Searching HD". Not sure if the Vise Installer is the problem, or what. Tossed all Vise and WMP prefs, re-downloaded a different installer file, all to no avail. Any thoughts? Running 10.3.7, no problems with anything else. Is there <i>anything</i> else I can play Windows Media files with? [alert admin]

LimeWire X 2.9.4 (Mac OS X)
it's got over Aquisition is the "wish list" function. Otherwise, it's buggy, it's a processor hog, a Java app, a spyware app, and doesn't return nearly the number of valid results that Aquisition does. And how many more years is this gonna be a beta - til version 6.0? Yeesh, fix it already! [alert admin]

Acquisition 0.74 (Mac OS X)
my $15 (soon as I get a job). I've scarfed more tunes in the two days I've had this than Limewire's shown me in months. Oh, and it doesn't crash every session like a certain Java app do. Yeah. [alert admin]

LapCop 1.0 (Mac OS X)
a level of Mac sophistication for thieves that I rarely find in graphics students. Although many of us here could compromise a stolen Mac pretty quick, the average thief might be familiar with Windows, if anything. [alert admin]

PTHPasteboard 2.4.0 (Mac OS X)
it better than Copy/Paste, and you can't beat the price. The only weird thing is when you paste one from down the list, it sends that one to the top of the list, as if that were the last thing you copied. [alert admin]

Terminal Here Plugin 0.3 (Mac OS X)
dragging folders to both the Dock icon of the running app, and to the Terminal window. Doesn't cd in 10.2.2 [alert admin]

I'd buy it except that I don't trust PayPal.
Gregory, Why don't you just mail a check? If you're really paranoid, send it registered mail.
