Eigenclock 0.3 (Mac OS X)

Movable interface & Re: - Not Needed -

For those wishing that Eigenclock could be command-dragged like the Apple menu clock: unfortunately, Apple completely broke the interface to the cocoa class that makes that thing possible. The interface had always been a private API (that is, technically only for Apple use), but many developers had made use of it (c.f. MenuMeters, Application Switcher Menu). I pestered people on developer email lists and tried for several days to get it to work, but it appears that it is no longer possible. I have a version that can be loaded & unloaded manually, which may be obtained by downloading the source code from the Eigenclock page http://www.twistedtheorysoftware.com/eigenclock/ and compiling the bundle "Eigenclock.menu". Once it is successfully compiled, you can double click it to add it to the menu. Please note, however, that this version is fairly unstable, and crashes often. I have not had much time to debug it. Now, about the previous post "- Not Needed -". The main reason I wrote this program is to have a big beautiful calendar -- without having to open iCal -- every time I forget what day next Tuesday is. And that, unfortunately, is not baked into Leopard. [alert admin]
