WinTel 2.1.2 (Mac OS X)

Doesn't Work With Intel iMacs

Despite what the developer's site states, this WILL NOT install XP onto an Intel iMac. I took the voluminous amount of negative feedback here with a grain of salt, gave OpenOSX the benefit of the doubt, and ended up losing $25 for my efforts. For a good laugh, check out the "Installation Instructions" on their site that uses screenshots from a different version than the one they're selling. Very professional...this developer's site should have a countdown clock representing the small amount of time left before he goes out of business. [alert admin]

MacFamilyTree 3.6.7 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Family Tree function in the pipeline?!?!?!?!?

I was surprised to find this genealogy program without an option to create an actual family tree. Perhaps my definition of a tree is different, but other programs offer a "Tree" or "Pedigree" option that creates a traditional "Family Tree" diagram. The "Descendant Chart" is sort of in that category, but not exactly. Being able to import and export GED files is also what I consider an obvious function for genealogy software that is missing here. Still the easiest Mac program to use though and I did end up purchasing the program...but I'd like to toss my 2 cents in about the above potential improvements. [alert admin]

What a waste of time.

Stupid post...Xmenu works with the MENU BAR. Not the dock, which you're comparing it to. That's like saying, "Cars are so big and they don't do anything my feet can't do." Doh! If you're upset about having to pay for shareware, an indulgent rant is okay. But this is FREE software and you look like a fool complaining about how this free program isn't worthwhile. TP...Out!
