LCDTest 1.1 (Mac OS X)

Nice

Seems to be the most comprehensive LCD test utility, including modes for analog display alignment and gradients. Not only for finding dead pixels, also useful for locating problems with the LCD background light. [alert admin]

Amua 0.5.6 (Mac OS X)

Slick and slim

Great little piece of software. Yes, it uses iTunes to acutally play a station, which is great if you want to use AirTunes. It won't add the stations to your iTunes library in case you wondered. [alert admin]

Pixer 1.7.1 (Mac OS X)

Works for me

Not a whole lot of options but does the job without much fuss. Retains all EXIF info too. Would be nice to be able to specify not to rename the files but instead to save them to a different location. Also I'm not sure why there are two buttons: "OK" and "Jpeg". Shouldn't it auto-detect the file format? [alert admin]

Hex Fiend 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)

Can't be beaten

in terms of speed. Great features. Feels right. I just wish the developer would publish some info on what tricks were used to make it that fast while keeping the memory usage down. [alert admin]

0xED 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)

Best Hexeditor

For me this is the best Mac OS X hex editor. Really clean and space-saving interface and the value converter is perfect. Thanks! [alert admin]

Calendarclock 1.0b2 (Mac OS X)

This is just perfect!

Better than Menu Calendar in that it doesn't need another icon in the menu bar, as well as in many other ways (e.g. feature- and look-and-feel-wise). If you are missing Menu Calendar's feature to display the birthdays from your address book, use iCal Birthday Shifter to get your birthdays into iCal. Thank you very much! [alert admin]

Crashes on quit

I've heard about this error from different people (it doesn't happen here), but unfortunately I currently don't have the possibility to release another version of FileType 1.0. However, to my knowledge the error seems to disappear sometimes when upgrading to a newer system version. Also, although it is ugly, the crash shouldn't cause any other problems. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Problem Fixed

Hi! Apparently newer Mac OS X versions have a problem with applications which don't have the ".app" extension in their filename. I've added the extension and uploaded a new archive. On a side note, next time I would appreciate an email instead of a post on VT if you experience any problems. Cheers, Frederik

NAT-Traversal

Another major feature IPSecuritas doesn't have in contrast to VPN Tracker is NAT-Traversal, which enables you to reliably use your VPN from behind a NAT-firewall.

Manual supplementary

I fail to see how the existance of a manual affects the usability of an application. Most applications from Apple have some kind of manual. Yet most people would say they are easy to use, since you don't necessarily have to read the manual in order to use the application. I would say the same holds true for iSale. I recommend to give the product a try before rating the product.
