Baytex Party! 4.0b12 (Mac OS X)

Good luck!!!

I have purchased Baytex Party 3 well over two years ago and have been trying to obtain resolution (and satisfaction) and a newer working version ever since! I have a Mac iBook G4, 800 MHZ and have run the gammit with this software. I have had it shut down, I have had selections fail to show up in the player windows, I have had lock ups. Repeated attempts to have the developer provide assistance have failed. Many excuses, if there is an answer, why he hasn't been able to reply. Many promises to provide an updated version. Absolutely frustrating!!! But you know what? If the developer would actually sit down and work out the bugs, return replies, try to help and provide service to his customers - the software and concept are great. It's all there. As both a professional broadcaster and DJ, an engineer and techncian, I know a good concept when I see one. The cross fades work without audio drops, the play lists and request lists are a great idea. But, who knows which series of actions cause the lockups, shut downs and no shows (songs and timing postings). "It's a good thing to know the music before playing it". A word to the developer - spend some time - solve the problems and make your customers (like me) happy. Otherwise - don't waste time promoting a product you have no intention of caring for. Another word to the purchaser - make sure you get what you pay for - before buying! I'll be happy to send a better report if, and/or when the developer cleans up his act. [alert admin]
