Works Great

I love the "Operate On: Currently Playing Album" feature which adds the selected artwork to all songs fro the album. easy and convenient. [alert admin]

SizzlingKeys 1.5.4 (Mac OS X)

Works well

I've tries all kinds of apps that do this kind of thing (PTHiTunesNotifier, iTunes Track, iTunesCheck) but they all seemed to be unstable or used too many resources. This seems to be about the right mix of functionality to do what I want it to do without getting in the way. [alert admin]

Realtek RTL8139/810x 1.13 (Mac OS X)

Hangs for me...

This driver is only required for Jaguar these days. Too bad the only machines that really need it is the beige boxes which can only run jaguar. My system was very stable before this - running backups, uptimes in the months. Had to remove the kext due to hangs (usually with screen blanked, so I couldn't tell what it was up to). [alert admin]

Set Primary Addresses 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Excellent concept...

This works well. Another good thing would be the ability to change the order in which the addresses appear. [alert admin]

WeatherDock 1.1.1 (Mac OS X)

It's in my startup items...

... and WeatherPop is out. The only problem I have with it is that I keep a smallish dock and the temperature is a little hard to read. Maybe something a little higher contrast than the white on blue would be good. [alert admin]

Kensington MouseWorks 2.5r1 (Mac OS X)

Horizontal Scrolling?

Every new window I create comes up with the mouse in horizontal scrolling mode. I hate this feature-- I had to enable clicking the scroll wheel to switch modes, just so I have scroll vertically. How can I disable horizontal scrolling? [alert admin]

Sound Shuffler X 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Needs volume and subfolder selection

Overall, works very well. Beeps seem a bit loud and the volume is unaffected by adjusting the alert volume in the os x sound pane. Also, since this uses all sounds from your private and public libraries, you can get your favorite mail sound or calendar notification as a beep. I've been fooled a few times... Other than these two gripes, I like it a lot. and free is good. Open source would be better ;-) [alert admin]

upCast 4.0.1 (Mac OS X)

Nice GUI, but has problems..

This might be useful for some document processing I need to do. Tried it out on a simple rtf file. The docbook output left rtf tags in the output (it says experimental, so I guess that's OK). The standard XML output seemed OK, but seemed to have less structure than could be obtained from the document. The problem was that the RTF file was left open And a huge chunk of my memory is gone after the program has quit. I guess I'll be putting this one in the trash... [alert admin]

Clutter 1.0d10 (Mac OS X)

This app rocks!!…

I have a minor problem though... When I drag cover art from safari to the Now Playing window, it appears flipped upside-down. [alert admin]

What's it all mean?

The original comment has some merit. Sure a bad result is not a good thing. But rather than throw out the entire machine, it would be nice to know something like which memory module needs replacing. You can figure this out from the addresses and such with a little work, but wouldn't it be nicer if the program did this for you?

Re: Great app!

That feature in in System Preferences -> Accounts -> Startup Items. Just drag WeatherDock in there!
