Easy Grade Pro 3.6.2c (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Where is the download?

The "password" bug isn't the end of the world (you just have to click on "Unlock" instead of just hitting return), but I am curious where the downloaded fix is...I can't find it on the Orbis web site. [alert admin]

Freeopardy 0.9.1b (Mac OS X)

Good start

Good start with this game. I like the dedication to making it as close to the real thing as possible (but that might get you into trouble...). A couple of suggestions:

  • Full Screen mode would be great -- this is a wonderful game for classroom use on an infocus projector (see the shareware program Hazard for an example of a not-ready-for-primetime example that has full screen)

Having three players is great, but what if two people want to play? Or four?

What about a time limit for hitting the button?

Your windows don't obey OS X rules -- right now I'm typing this but the Selection and Score windows are hovering above Safari...

Hazard! 1.0.4 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

    I played Hazard…

with all my classes this week, and they enjoyed it. It crashed once, but luckily we remembered the score. More than two teams is a must, and an adjustable count-down should be included for timing the answers after someone buzzes in. [alert admin]

Hazard! 1.0.4 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

    First impressions: good,…

but it needs some work on the interface. E.g., you can't buzz in when a picture is on the screen; if you are editing and hit "quit," you lose data if you didn't save; score is lost between single pts and double pts rounds; it would be great to have more than two teams participate; there should be a "save" and "save as" dialog box in the editor. get the title...not a bad game. I'll try it out this week with my classes and see how it goes before I rate. [alert admin]

    FoldersSynchronizer 3.0 (Mac OS X)

    I like this…

program, but I still get 20-30 errors (mostly permission problems) when I try to backup my OSX drive. The program also fails to backup big (1 Gig) files onto my firewire HD, but it doesn't list them as errors and I have to search for the files myself. [alert admin]

    KoalaCalc 1.1.1 (Mac OS X)

    MilesTGBIS: This is…

weird. Yup, my TI-68(circa 1989) does it your way (110). However, my TI-30X IIS (circa 2000) comes up with 100.1. My Casio HS-8 (circa early 80s?) produces (oddly) 111.11111...Strange, very strange. [alert admin]

Chipmunk Basic 3.5.8b7 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

    This brings back…

so many great memories! It's amazing that I can still remember how to program in BASIC, but I guess it's like riding a bike. [alert admin]

Yellow Shirt Odyssey 1.02 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

    Crashes kind of…

often, but fun, especially b/c I lived in Australia for the last two years...I love all the shots of NSW Uni! [alert admin]

    where is my project?

Hi there. If you have created a new site, it will be blank, but your old site will still be saved. iWeb can only handle one site at a time, and right now it is using your new site. If you run iWebSites again you should see your original site, the duplicate you made, and the new site. Double click on your old site to make it "default," and then run…

how did you connect it to your mac? USB?

Thanks for the great review--what a cool program/GPS system you have set up. How did you connect it to the mac, incidentally? Is there a USB connection? Thanks! -Tofer
