Things 1.0.4 (Mac OS X)

this app is a lifesaver!

If you are into this GTD thing, you have to try Things! In companion with their iPhone app it really gets things done :-) I just hope that they will introduce a straight-forward way to sync between multiple machines soon - or even a "multiuser Things" that allows small workgroups to "get things done" together (for instance via projects) [alert admin]

Perian 1.1.3 (Mac OS X)

must have app!

This is one of the first apps I install on every Mac! Definitly a must have for every videophile out there! :-) The (new?) builtin autoupdate works great! [alert admin]

fruux 0.9.4 (Mac OS X)

Great!

Yesterday Versiontracker came in handy, when I was searching for a way to sync my Addressbook and iCal data between my iMac and my new (and shiny) Macbook without MobileMe. This neat little app works really great and saves you the MobileMe tax. If you don't need iPhone over the air syncing and the other MobileMe services (besides syncing) it's a nice alternative (also I am quite sure that fruux will add iPhone syncing, too - it's on their roadmap). Oh - and did I mention: There support is lightning fast - I just tweeted that I started using fruux and literally within seconds they contacted me and asked if I had any question or feedback. Thats really high-level customer support at it's best. 100% recommendation! [alert admin]

Fruux Broken

I am on 10.5.6, too - using v0.9.4. Works fine here. Did you try the new version already?

Well...

Sure - thats a concern, but on the other hand - I am using dropbox, gmail, flickr, facebook, ... so what. And it's even stated in the requirements above (requires fruux account). I am quite sure that all these cloud companies aren't interested in ruining their reputation by screwing their users. If it's to scary for you I'd suggest disconnecting from the internet completely, applying your tin-foil hat and enjoying live instead of ranting here :-)…
