Snooker 8.0 (Mac OS X)
This is not snooker by any means
This game is not Snooker. it is pool but using the coloured balls found on a snooker table. Snooker is played on a much bigger table with smaller balls. It requires much more skill to play than american 8 ball pool. This is why many snooker champions also do very well in world pool championships. You rarely see (if ever) a pool champ win a snooker championship. The potting sequence is red, then colour (the red stays down and the colour is respotted) once all the reds are potted then the colours are potted in the order yellow, green, brown, blue, pink and finally black. The rules of snooker are here http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/other_sports/snooker/rules/default.stm [alert admin]

Little Snitch 2.0 (Mac OS X)
I have used Little Snitch for a while now and have used version 2 since the public beta and seen it go from strength to strength. My only wish is that apple see the standard of this application and make leopard\s built in firewall as good as this for incoming connections. [alert admin]

Little Snitch 2.0 beta 7 (Mac OS X)
In my previous feedback I stated that although a beta this upgrade was a bargain and well worth paying for. After a week or more of using the product I noticed the application going a bit rogue especially when a lot of simultaneous connections were going on such as torrent downloads. I emailed obdev only maybe 2 weeks ago and they have released this update that has addressed that issue. Obdev you are a fantastic company and I only wish other software companies addressed issue so quickly. [alert admin]

Utility Lock 1.0.3a (Mac OS X)
This app crashes immediately after launching it. So I can't even try it out. [alert admin]

Email Backup Pro 1.4 (Mac OS X)
more features required to make it pro
I have looked at this app and although simple and easy to use I would not call this a pro app. A pro app would have the facility to do incremental backups. Also ftp logins so you could backup to remote servers. [alert admin]

Little Snitch 2.0 beta 6 (Mac OS X)
I have been using little snitch for a few years and was more than happy to pay for this upgrade. The new features are great and what is more I got a 5 seat family license for £14. excellent value for money. I used to use a unix tool called trafshow to keep an eye on my current connection and now I don't need it as the snitch window keeps me informed now. If only little snitch would now show incoming connections as well just for info not as a firewall.. [alert admin]

Parallels Desktop 3.0 Build 4128.0 (Mac OS X)
I am disappointed with this upgrade in which parallels clever marketing got me to upgrade. For a paid upgrade this is not so good. I find this build of Parallels Desktop to be buggy. I cannot get windows to play simple games. I cannot get it so switch from window to full screen without getting strange black anomalies on screen. Installing the linux tools in ubuntu does not work. the main reason for this upgrade was in order for me to play simple windows games without having to use bootcamp and I have wasted my money. Sony Ericsson iSync Plugins 1.5.2 (Mac OS X)
these plugins are not shareware
These plugins work and they are cheap but they should not be described as shareware they are only available to be downloaded if you purchase them. Therefore they should be described in their title as 'commercial'. [alert admin]

Microsoft Office 2004 11.3 (Mac OS X)
Come on M$ where is the Universal Binary? Every intel mac I have setup Microsoft office 2004 is slow and buggy. Some of my clients have 1000's of emails in entourage and even with macs with 2GB of ram Entourage sucks. [alert admin]

Perhaps the term 'Liar' is a bit harsh, It was a keen jerk reaction to a company that claimed there was no malware or spyware in their product. The fact that a compay claims this makes me instantly suspicious. Then i found the simbl plug phoning home and that made me angry. You are not alone the simbl package included with other apps such as pith helmet also phones home.

the 1 star rating related to fact that the player itself does not work you fool. my comment about the mirror servers was to suggest there maybe a problem with the file that is coming from them as the app does not work at all.
