JAlbum 8.1.6 (Mac OS X)

Java 1.4 ?

JAlbum 8.1.6 says that Java 1.5 is needed when you try to launch it. [alert admin]

CPUswitch 1.0.2 (Mac OS X)

NilObjectException

I think this would be a good program but I cant get it to work. I'm using OSX 10.3.9 on a 1.25 gHz G4 and get this error. An exception of class NilObjectException was not handled. The application must shut down. This was true for 1.0.1 also. [alert admin]

GasLight 0.41 (Mac OS X)

Works Great

I just installed GasLight on my 1.25 ghz G4 with OSX 10.3.9 and it works great. No problems with smoothing either. This is a pleasant change from the standard iTunes visualizer. [alert admin]

Dupseek 1.2 (Mac OS X)

GUI Needed

I agree with the first post. A GUI is definately needed. I have been looking for a simple, free program with a GUI that does nothing more then list all the duplicate programs and where they are located. That way you can select which program to delete, leaving the one you want where you want it. Everything would be under your control and unexpected out comes, would be minimized. The ability to drag the dupes to the trash from the list would be great also. This would cut down on the navigation time to grab the program you want for deletion. [alert admin]

Download Wizard 1.6b22 (Mac OS X)

Bugs

I like the idea of resuming downloads, but this program has some bugs. When using VersionTracker to download, the program presents download loop errors for every file I downloaded. I does download the file but it shouldn't get drug into the loop. A normal download using Camino doesn't do this. The save as window lists the file name as the whole path plus the name. This is confusing. If you leave it alone the file goes to the path location and saves a file with just the name. If you delete the path part, the file appears to download but disappears. It can't be found with a search. You should add a save to location pref separate from the save as, if you aren't going to use the system default. Using Version tracker I can't find a URL to paste that will download the file I want to get. It downloads the redirect page. All this said, I think the program has potential. [alert admin]

MrClean 1.4 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Good Start

I have been looking for a program to help me clean up my mac after having to do a couple of system reinstalls that save the previous system. I don't want to have things automatically erased however. Just having it list the duplicates and where they are located would be nice. I would also like a program that can select specific folders to compare, so the job can be done in chuncks. This program looks like it has a good start towards doing what I need. [alert admin]

StartupSound.prefPane 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)

It's Great.

This program allows you to lower the much too loud Startup Chime without affecting the rest of your sound settings. So far it has loaded and run without a hitch, doing exactly what it says it should. I'm using a 1.25 gHz G4 PowerMac, with OSX 10.3.3, and have encountered no trouble. Many thanks to the programmer for fixing what I found to be a continuing annoyance. [alert admin]

KeepTrack 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)

Shows Potential

The program looks good but with OSX 10.1.5 the bottom of the window goes off the bottom of the screen and can't be gotten to, to resize the window. [alert admin]

Distributed.net KickStarter 1.2 (Mac OS X)

Works Great

Just be sure that you install it where you want the program to reside on your hard drive. I wasn't able to move the program and get it to run again without moving it back to the original installation spot. It could also use a function to manually upload you finished work at the time you choose. [alert admin]
