VLC media player 0.7.2 (Mac OS X)
Looking on Version Tracker for developer solutions, I checked an earlier comment from a user who received an arrogant and rude reply from the developer. Undeterred, I checked their website , which helpfully writes "NOTE: Look at the posting date before asking stupid questions." Some "freeware" is really far too expensive to even try it out...! Trash 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Needs to indicate whether trash is empty or not
Admittedly not having used it, but it really ought to change its own icon to indicate when there's something actually in the Trash. I very much do like the look of the trash can though :-) - T.I. [alert admin]

the links to the AGFA site, and it appears that the X drivers are still availabe http://support.agfa.com/support/ , although I didn't try to download any. Does anyone have any experience with the X drivers for the DuoScan F40 as I am considering buying one? [alert admin]

tweaking here and there would make this a mega cool app. Unfortunately, it says on the author's website, "Final Release". It would be nice, for instance, if the date were to always jump back to today's date. Ah, well... Still neat though, and heck, it *is* free. [alert admin]

MegaLauncher II (Wolf) 2.3 (Palm OS)
This *is* something else. I guess that you'll either love it, or hate it. Personally, I love it. If you are only slightly geeky and want to have plenty of (useful) information about your device at hand, and also want to spend some "quality time" personalizing your machine, then you should at least give this a try. I was on SilverScreen before I came across MegaLauncher, and apart from this being faster it offers far more. I especially like the "Touch and wait timeout" function that allows you to set a response time for when you tap the screen. Makes the whole thing faster. Some Mac guys here complain about it having an ugly interface. Being a Mac user myself, I disagree, except for the skins, which are pretty useless. It's quite amazing, when you think of it, what these Russians (you gotta love them) have accomplished on such a small screen. $20? It bit expensive maybe. But it does seem to be very stable too, as "breakfastchef" seems to insinuate. And now for a shot of Vodka . . . :D [alert admin]
