Graph Paper Maker 1.2 (Mac OS X)

As Stated...

WARNING: This has become shareware between versions. Based on the change I'd classify it more as crippleware as it's functionally has been greatly hindered until it is registered. [alert admin]

TelnetLauncher 2.8.4 (Mac OS X)

Excellent!

PiDog software has a winner with this one! I've been using it for years and being a Unix admin that connects to many machines during the day, this is an indispensible tool in my daily work. The release time between the recent 10.3.7 and the 2.8.4 patch was only days which really helps for those of us who are forgetful and upgrade without remembering that TL needs to be updated with each version patch. LaCie SilverKeeper 1.1.2 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Problem Solved

I had the same problem until about 120 seconds ago. To resolve this, you need to do the following:

  • Remove the old LaCie Backup Support file. This file is located at ~/Library/Application Support/SilverKeeper. You need to make sure that SilverKeeper is not running as it'll be in use otherwise. This file will report as for version 1.1.2 of SilverKeeper. Remove it anyway.
  • Enter System Preferences->Login Items and remove LaCie Backup Support as one of the start up items.
  • Restart your mac.
  • Start SilverKeeper and enter Preferences. Click on the lock and enter your administrator information. This will allow SilverKeeper to access all available files.
  • Enter System Preferences->Login Items and add LaCie Backup Support as one of the start up items which should be sitting in ~/Library/Application Support/SilverKeeper.
  • Restart your mac.
  • You're done. Give it a try. This is for 10.2.8 but 10.3.x should be similar. I just haven't upgraded yet.

Tropico 1.0.3 (Mac OS X)

Works in 10.2.8.

I recently purchased Tropico. After installation, I attempted to run it and received the dreaded "Application Quit" dialog before anything displayed. So I turned to VT and discovered this patch. Amazingly enough, the application that installed from the CD is listed as 1.0.3 as well. I did not hold out hope but I applied the patch and now Tropico works perfectly on my 800MHz G4 running 10.2.8. I haven't seen any other problems with this. I supposed I'm one of the lucky ones. Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds 1.1.1 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

This patch introduced bugs...

This patch causes several new, and highly annoying, bugs to have crept into the code at least for SWGB. Here are the ones I noted while playing 'Leia missions 4 & 5 yesterday:

  1. The spoken text between missions duplicates itself so multiple tracks are being spoken.
  2. In one of the missions, I created two Air Cruisers. Both of these only generated shadows that when clicked on would report that they were 'y-wings'. Alas, the stats were incorrect as well and these shadows could not target a location.
  3. The icon for the power-droid is incorrect.
  4. When making a power-droid, the 'completion' sound occurs but no droid is created.
Overall, I really enjoy the number of available missions with this package but I'm seriously considering downgrading to an earlier version where these issues didn't appear. [alert admin]
