AudioLeak 1.1.1 (Mac OS X)

Nice comparative app. for audio files.

I Agree. This little app is quick and useful. Their full product “Mac The Scope” could learn a thing or two from this freeware. [alert admin]

Apple Logic Pro 7.1.1 (Mac OS X)

Waveburner crashing EQ moves

7.1.1 now Waveburner constantly crashes during eq moves in playback. What needs to be thrown away? I can work for a few to 10 min. then wham, the app just quits. some times it will give a log to report but not always. Out of 13 songs I have had 8 crashes. All while moving gain or bandwidth in the Waveburner linear Phase EQ. With or without any other apps open. [alert admin]

Coda Finale 2005 (Mac OS X)

Double pay from 2004 before I've used it.

As an Educator with 35 computers and an institution to fund upgrades, I am disappointed in Finales 30 day policy for free upgrades. University funding is not the fastest nor if you just funded something do they want to hear it needs to be funded again. When I purchased 35 licenses at the beginning of summer break to get ready for fall term, I Paid. Before I could teach a single class Finale went to 2005 and said you had to purchase 30 days before 2005 to qualify for a non-paid upgrade. I was 1 month out of luck (It doesn't pay to try to keep up with this App.). So--- Pay twice to keep current before it’s even used? I Don't think so. Consider changing to a new format when new funding becomes available? A good possibility. Recommend my students to purchase a product that is not backwards compatible? No! Will I recommend to State University Technology Committee as a core software for implementation/ I just can't with a good heart. Nice App. Poor academic policies. Sincerely, Disappointed & moving on. Apple Mac OS X 10.3.4 (Mac OS X)

Sony Firewire 1600L issues.

All seemed fine until working with the Sony CD-RW drive (CRX-1600L) and I-tunes. Shortly after importing the drive un-mounts giving a Firewire disconnected while in use error. The internal superdrive worked fine with the same disk and this is repeatable on my system. (Sent E-letter to Sony RE: Firmware availability for Mac's) Clone drive mounts and all else seems fine. PS, My MS WordX files all work properly. (it is not the 2004 version) [alert admin]

Amadeus II 3.7.1 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Great sample creater and more!

This is a great utility tool. I use it for a variety of tasks. • The analytical side is very useful and accurate. • Creating sounds from scratch then loading into samplers is also a nice resource. • File type changing* works where other apps fail. ***** I found issues in the Pitch / Speed (speed section) where the resulting file becomes hash. (I tried this with a variety of percentages without success) Pitch works great.(As is the case for all the other manipulations I have tried so far.) VST rack for applying multiple vst effects is nice as well. (Just set up the effect setting Individually prior to applying from the rack) Additional request would be: • Auto batch convert ability. • An auto interpolation of the in/ out points when effecting a portion of a file with the plugins. A solid and useful app in OS 10.3.2 Well worth the appreciated price of admission. Recommended for all sound designers to have in their arsenal. A+ for Martin Hairer [alert admin]

Finale Greed within a year!
