XPlay 2.0 RC1 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
Not so sure about this app. After installing it, Xpod immediately wiped all the songs from my iPod and replaced it with "sample music" crap. Fortunately I had all my music backed up on my Mac, so I just reloaded it. I thought this app would allow me to extract all the tunes from my iPod and place them in a folder for iTunes Windows to read... but halfway through it said "Not all could be transferred." Perhaps the instructions weren't clear or perhaps it was a difference of Mac vs PC iPods, dunno yet. [alert admin]

SETI 3.08 Screen Saver WORKS in Panther
Installing Panther only forces you to have to reinstall SETI. After upgrading to 10.3, I noticed the screen saver function was not working. Redownloaed the app, installed, and the screen saver is working just fine in Panther now... [alert admin]

PEOPLE & CHAT and PHOTOs missing from Mac version ![]()

Unbelievable. [b]Two major features PEOPLE & CHAT and PHOTOs have been removed from the Mac client version of this software.[/b] Why? MSN Customer Support claims the Mac "isn't capable of handling these features." Yet we are expected to pay the same price as Windows users who get both of these features... Customer Service told me that I could access the chat features through http://chat.msn.com but when you visit that site from any Mac browser, including MS Internet Explorer, you get the error "MSN Chat is not currently compatible with your Internet browser and/or computer operating system." Pod2Go 0.5b1 (Mac OS X)
All I get when trying to sync are "Cannot resolve host newsisfree.com" or "Cannot resolve host www.kainjow.com" errors. Something is not working right. My cable connection to the internet is working fine... Used the older version for about eight months and only got weird errors on a few sites. [alert admin]

Camino 0.7.0 (Mac OS X)
Latest Nightlies are Full of Crashes
Have been using this browser as my standard until the past couple of days. I think I can count almost 25 crashes alone from a formerly stable browser. Not sure what they are doing with the Nightly Buiids, but the last few have been literal crap. The last build completely trashed my customized toolbar and returned it to default. Getting crashe to desktop from little things like clicking Customize Toolbar/Icon & Text to simply selecting certain bookmarks. [alert admin]

Acquisition 0.84 (Mac OS X)
user of LimeWire, Acquisition is a welcome option. I paid the shareware fee becausee I like the much better interface and well thought out design. Never had any problems finding what I want, and downloads are much faster than with LimeWire. Missing one star because it still needs some work making connections.... even though I can find what I want, LimeWire offers more choices. [alert admin]

Pod2Go 0.4.2 (Mac OS X)
seriously in need of a BUG FIX update... some sites can no longer sync (CBS, CNN, Entertainment Weekly) and others give an odd error that they cannot locate the author's email address. [alert admin]

Safari Enhancer 1.5.4 (Mac OS X)
software should not be released to support illegal builds. Either pull that support, or pull the program. I suggest everyone else who has issues with this program hit the "EMAIL US" button in the right hand corner of your VersionTracker screen and register your complaint. If the author won't listen, perhaps VT will... [alert admin]

America Online (AOL) 10.2.2 build 202D (Mac OS X)
be Quantum Link and was exclusive to the Commodore 64 for years before it ever hit Apple II... a "charter" member should know that... Anyway, this AOL client seems much better than the previous versions. Runs alot smoother and I like the addition of icons in Buddy Lists. It still needs to catch up to AOL 8.0 for Windows, though.
