Samba 3.0.11 (Mac OS X)
I cannot believe the amount of whining on this user feedback regarding Samba. If you are capable of installing SAMBA, good, if you are not then I suggest you go searching the internet for a Samba OSX How-To ( or equivalent) and learn. I doubt whether it is that complicated. Additionally, for most part - I very much doubt that casual users would need to upgrade to the bleeding edge version of Samba. The versions that come with OSX (especially Panther) are quite capable and you should keep you OS up to date with Software Update. Occasionally Apple do release updates for Samba If it wasn't for Samba you would NOT be able to connect to windows shares or Share your Mac directories to Windows machines. CTRL-K - Finder Connect To uses Samba - so, SAMBA is required. AppleShare is a thing of the past. All the Whiners out there - Cheese with that? yes, I recommend Samba. [alert admin]

Second Life 1.5.9 (Mac OS X)
They absolutely don't want visitors to their site since you have to sign up to see their products. Thus, I'm rating the product as absolute minimum - extremely POOR. [alert admin]

Sorry if I don't understand this app but you can select the songs you want in iTunes and then drag the highlighted songs to the appropriate directory. [alert admin]

Virtual ][ 3.0 (Mac OS X)
Its a very good emulator.. but the price... very high. Yes you may be able to buy an apple 2 for the same price, but I don't think that is a good reason for the high price. If it was $20 I'd register it... [alert admin]

WingNuts 1.3 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
Its about time they allowed electronic payment + unlock key... in this day and age there is no excuse. I would have bought this 2 years ago if they hadn't been dragging their feet. Paying and recieving it by post would have been expensive - the postage cost $10 ( to canada ).. half as much as the game itself!!! Anyway, I've bought it... and the games crashes on level 4 after picking up the 3rd weapon upgrade - crashes everytime. Suppose I'll have to ignore the upgrades from now on. [alert admin]

Mouse Distance Measurer 2.4 (Mac OS X)
RealBasic is not a bad development tool - its great to create GUI applications - quick and easy. More, these applications do not have to suck... HOWEVER its application like this that gives RB a bad image... Its great that people are making lots of applications for Mac using RealBasic... as long as RB is not abused... but, this is the worse type of abuse - charging money for such a basic application. AO must spent less than an hour on his applications and which offer no extra functionality over free apps - even applications bundled with OSX... such as Text Edit ( Simple Text Editor), FileMerge (Differences Examiner (which doesn't work )) etc etc. Offering file changes such as "Full recompilation" and bumping up a major version number isn't impressive... Do those (poor people) who registered the previous version - are they offered a free upgrade - or have they got to pay more money, for what - a developer pressing the 'Make All' button?!!! A Few of AO apps would be good, if they were free... but really, they aren't worthy of charging money... really because they don't offer functionality that goes beyond anything than basic. More often than not, they just don't work too well ( I'm not talking specifically about Mouse Measurer). [alert admin]

The author is probably from the UK judging by the url of the home page for this. If its illegal in your country due to your copyright then don't use it - simple. the author probably does not have time to go around checking each song's copyright status in every country on this planet and then customising the software appropriately, and yes, that includes the 'us'. If its legal in the UK and…

In additional, I might add.. looking at the description "A full recompiliation has been made". Don't be fooled. A "full recompiliation" is no effort at all.... Please avoid this application in preference to freeware alternatives which offer the same benefits.

You should realise, this review is most likely "AlphaOmega" reviewing his own application to get the Apps Ratings up. he does this frequently. If you notice the writing style of his own reviews, they all match - including this one.
