Snapz Pro X 2.2 (Mac OS X)

Snow Leopard

One has to wonder if we need Snapz Pro X anymore. It looks like 10.6, Snow Leopard has built in screen capture. See below: Record your screen. Catch the action taking place on your screen with screen recording. Start recording and QuickTime Player captures the activity on your screen and creates a movie file. It’s perfect for creating instructional media or when you need more than a simple screen shot. Link: http://www.apple.com/macosx/refinements/enhancements-refinements.html#quicktime" [alert admin]

Microsoft Messenger 7.0.0 (Mac OS X)

Calm down everyone!

http://blogs.msdn.com/macmojo/archive/2007/11/12/a-chat-about-messenger.aspx

If you have read the Mac Mojo post, then I don't know what there isn't to understand about the reason why their is no consumer A/V support. Simply put, Windows corporate Messenger uses a new A/V standard and Live Messenger is transitioning to that new A/V stack too. So it's perfectly reasonable for Mac Messenger 7 to also be built using the new A/V stack. The reason why there is no consumer A/V support is because Live Messenger hasn't finished transitioning to the new A/V stack. So in fact, Mac Messenger is ahead of Live Messenger, not behind. And so when Mac Messenger is behind in technology we complain and when it is ahead in technology, we complain more. Admittedly, it'd be nice to have consumer A/V working right now, but it would have been pointless to port over an old A/V stack which is going to be replaced in a few months anyways. Personally, I hope that Mac BU manages to update Mac Messenger quickly to activate A/V functionality once the next version of Live Messenger is released. If there is too much of a delay, then I'd agree they're coasting. [alert admin]

Package Tracker 2.1.11 (Mac OS X)

DHL tracking broken?

I just tried to track a DHL package that I sent to someone and using this widget, it said information could not be found. When I went to DHL.com, and entered the tracking number, it worked fine. Also, I emailed the developer and got no response but instead got an email saying "Message not delivered. It seems that the developer has closed their email. also it's likely that the developer has given up. the last update to this widget was June 2, 07 I really like this widget and wish the developer could release new version that would work. Apple iTunes 7.0.1 (Mac OS X)

a little bug - feedback needed

I'm not having any problems with iTunes 7.0.1. It installed fine and woks without problems. I did notice a little bug, where I have more songs in my library then I have on my iPod. It says I have 589 songs in my library and 588 songs on my iPod. If anyone is experiencing the same problem that I described above, go to: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=657829 and reply to my topic. Thanks. [alert admin]

Camera app gone after 3.0 update

Hmmm. Try calling Apple at 1-800-My Apple and see if they can help you. I couldn't find any information on the internet about your issue. Hope this helps. Also, you could try a Software restore from within iTunes. Good Luck!

Weird "Private Browsing" bug

Did you use Apple's Bug Reporter? if not, go to http://bugreporter.apple.com If you don't have an account, you can create a free one. Apple actually does read the bugs submitted via the above website. Hope this helps.

Drop shadows not rendering properly on iWeb created sites.

Did you submit this as a bug report? Posting it here wont help much since The Mozilla team might not read it. Go to: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-rc.html and either submit it as feedback or submit it as a bug request. Hope this helps.

REGRETS

I think you are mistaken. 3.0 is definitely coming. See the following from the developer: I paid the upgrade fee for 3.0 - dteare How did you pay for the 3.0 upgrade? We're not selling upgrades yet :) I'm guessing you mean the "free upgrade to 3.0" message on the store. Since 3.0 is coming "soon", we don't want people waiting until its release, so we changed the online store to give a free upgrade to version…

I paid the upgrade fee for 3.0

Yes, it looks like we have to wait a little longer. I'm sure they are just putting in the final tweaks into version 3.0. I'm subscribed to their email list and they said that the next newsletter will include information on version 3.0 and screenshots. Hope this helps.
