Aion 1.7.2 (Mac OS X)

The best....

I was sad when Aion disappeared from 10.4.11 after the recent security update and delighted to find an update so quickly. Aion is the least obtrusive way to keep track of multiple time zones when working with people from different continents. The basic version does everything I need, especially with the customization options. Looking forward to the Leopard version. [alert admin]

SMARTReporter 2.2.5 (Mac OS X)

Thank you to SMARTReporter

Yesterday, SMARTReporter warned of an impending drive failure on my PowerBook G4. The drive seemed fine, but I backed up everything and took the powerbook into Apple as Apple Care coverage expires in a few days. The drive is now being replaced under Apple Care. SMARTReporter saved time and money. Having absolutely everything backed up when a drive fails is such a warm, fuzzy feeling. So is not having to pay for a replacement. [alert admin]

VisualHub 1.20 (Mac OS X)

Simple to use

Makes putting a dozen or more 42-minute episodes of a TV series---even in different formats---onto one DVD amazingly simple. The User Guide is helpful and the developer responds promptly to questions posted in the VisualHub forum. [alert admin]

PhotoStickies 5.5 (Mac OS X)

Unique...

Have used this for some time as my default image viewer particularly for the borderless feature -- wonderful for comparing an image in different formats or against a background color -- but only recently found all the display options available under the Inspector feature. [alert admin]

Seashore 0.1.8 RC2 (Mac OS X)

Problem Downloading

I can't get Version 0.1.8 RC2 to download completely---keep ending up with a file that's a good bit smaller than 3.7M and fails to mount because it has no mountable file systems. [alert admin]

Pedantic point...

I was actually wondering about that as I read the description, but maybe it's Cerberius in French.

Another option

What's wrong with telling people about other software with a similar purpose? I use Clear Dock (which has been free for years), so a natural question is what does this app do that Clear Dock doesn't? When I use Version Tracker to look for software to serve a particular function, comparisons of the available apps by other users are usually helpful.

Works all right for me.

The US Supreme Court has jurisdiction only over software developers or distributors located in the US. Aquisition is distributed from Australia.
