Delicious Library 1.5 (Mac OS X)
Every version of this program increases functionality and stability. Nicely done. Spotlight and the widget work a dream. [alert admin]

Delicious Library 1.0 (Mac OS X)
It's not perfect yet, but it's getting there fast. I have a massive library of over 1600 DVDs, 1000 CDs, etc., and it does a great job of inputting, displaying and sorting them. The developers are really responsive (they added in International support a day after launch), so I'm confident that this program will just keep getting better and better. [alert admin]

Delicious Library also supports this feature, so there are some out there.

Go to Library -> Preferences and switch to import from Germany instead of the United States. And then consider re-rating the program based on what you see then.

Actually, I believe that they did most of the development on G4s. Powerbook G4s to be precise.

I agree that Library of Congress input would be nice. I'm sure they'll add more advanced support when stuff gets beyond 1.0. However, I'm looking at my stack of CDs in front of me, and every single one of them has the little visible plastic tabs from the front with the booklet inside. The tab itself is obviously behind the CD booklet, but there is an outline of the tab clearly visible from the…

You might try downloading the new version. They added support in for International releases.

Your results are puzzling. I have over 1600 DVDs, and it's found the vast, vast majority of them. Even better now that they added UK DVD support. As far as books go, well, that's a problem with UPC numbers on books. UPC numbers on books are typically re-assigned after a while, especially on mass-market paperbacks. _ANY_ cataloging program is going to have these issues, so it's probably unfair to attribute…

You're kidding, right? I have a collection of 1600+ DVDs, several hundred books and CDs, and Delicious Library works really well for this huge collection. If you don't like the bookshelf view, you can always click on the data view on the top left of the bookshelf UI.

Library supports scanning by Bar Code scanners too. I've priced a bunch, and with the exception of the free Radio Shack CueCat that you can't get any more, the iSight option (and the barcode scanner they sell in the Licensor) are actually pretty decent, fiscally speaking.

Version 1.01 supports International releases, which would probably change your opinion about much of it. I have a collection of over 1600 DVDs, and very few just aren't in there (mostly bizarre Hong Kong imports and such).

You do realize, of course, that it doesn't cost you any more to buy through Delicious Library than it does to buy it off of plain old Amazon? I don't think they're being disingenuous about it either. It's not like that is hidden from the user in any way (unless you don't bother to ever look at urls). If you were making this program, and were providing links to similar products for…
