iClock Pro 1.0b18 (Mac OS X)

1.0b18 is buggy!

Beware ... this version is buggy and does not show up for me in the menu bar even after logging out and back in or restarting. The previous version worked fine. [alert admin]

Data Guardian 1.6.4 (Mac OS X)

The overall best in its class!

I have either bought or tried every database for storing software/hardware registrations, credit card numbers, bank account data, website logins, and etc ... and Data Guardian is the best overall in its class. I can make a template for each category with any thing I want in it; then when I have something new for that category, highlight the template; then click on duplicate and then just fill in that template with the new data. It is the most versatile, and once the templates are made, so easy to use. I store everything in Data Guardian. And the author keeps improving it with small updates or fixes often. But it has never given me a problem ... it is very stable on the latest Mac Pro and OSX. [alert admin]

TapDex 3.3.3 (Mac OS X)

A big help and most used!

Folks in the Mac world, if you don't have this little program that provides a big help, you are definitely missing out! I use it so many times per day that it would be impossible to tell you just how many times. It is very quick to give you the contact you need, and then it just goes away when you click outside the window. I've never had a problem with it on my latest Mac Pro, MacBook Pro, or Mac Mini ... it just works so well! I use the "Pro" paid version ... for one reason ... those who provide such good Mac programs should be paid. [alert admin]

LicenseKeeper 1.3 (Mac OS X)

Excellent software... excellent support

LicenseKeeper 1.3 is an excellent Leopard program. I had been using Password Master for the past 10 years or so ... I have many shareware, commercial software and hardware listed in that program. Now, it's out of business, so I have tried about all out there to replace the old standby. I have now found it. LicenseKeeper's tab system makes it easy to find what I'm looking for ... it is versatile without being too complex. I love the way it exhibits the icons for the programs and also the way it copies from the emails in Apple Mail. But, what I like even more is the way the author responds to questions ... he wants to help and make the program work for us the users. One communication from him and I could tell he is sincere and wants me to be satisfied. So... excellent software and excellent support! That's a great combination! [alert admin]

Inspiration 8.0a (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

No update for a long time!

I have used this program for several years. I do outlines and it's the best I've found for doing this. But, it seems they have stopped developing and do not keep Inspiration up to date ... no version for Leopard. [alert admin]

Data Guardian 1.2.2 (Mac OS X)

Excellent software... excellent support

This is an excellent database program... has just what I need to keep up with all my software registrations and then some. And, I was most impressed when I ran into a bug in 1.2.1 and reported it to the author. His first reply came about 10 minutes later. After 3 replies of asking me for more detail, he had found the two bugs and updated to 1.2.2 immediately... about as fast as I could go to their website and download it. 1.2.2 works as advertised. Now that is a shareware company that I like to have around. You can't beat a program that fits your need and has excellent support. [alert admin]

TapDex 3.2.1 (Mac OS X)

TapDex Pro 3.2.1

Folks... if you don't buy any other shareware, this should be the one to get! It really gives Address Book what it has always needed, and puts the phone number or email address just a few seconds away. So, simple, yet so elegantly done. I have never had a problem with it. Buy the Pro version and help this good shareware builder. You won't be sorry. [alert admin]

Sandvox 1.2.3 (Mac OS X)

Beware of bug in version 1.2.3

There is a bug in version 1.2.3 that will not retrieve my site password for publishing on MacHighWay. Since there is no way to talk to the Sandvox publisher, I have left a report on their website, but I've heard nothing from them. I cannot make any changes to my website because when I try to publish from Sandvox, it says it can't retrieve my site password. I keep putting it in on their site host page, but it does not retain it. MacHighWay tried to help me, but after working on it, they said it is a problem with Sandvox. I am running Mac OS X 10.4.11 on a Mac Pro Dual Intell 2.66. [alert admin]

It just keeps getting better and better!

Folks, I've been using iOrganize since the day it began... and, I can truthfully tell you that it just keeps getting better and better. I have tried them all... and too many I've bought... but, iOrganize beats them all. It has a simple interface, but it can be used in many different ways. I don't know how many hundreds of articles and pictures I've got filed away in iOrganize, but they are always handy and ready to be used... just for my info, or to put in another document, or to put in an email... or, use for whatever. And, now, in version 6, we have hierarchical categories and a better interface to work with... a great and indispensable program. And, if this is all there is to iOrganize... it would be worth the price for admission! But, the real worth of this program is it's developer... Bruno is the best! If you have a problem... find a bug... zap... Bruno has it fixed before I go to bed... the same day I email him. And, if you give him a worthwhile suggestion... it's adopted in short order... just like that! Thanks, Bruno, for a great Mac program! [alert admin]

1.0b18 is buggy!

For whatever happened when this version loaded, I do not know. I could not find two preferencepanes or overlaps of any thing else. The remedy was to delete all parts of the program and re-install 1.0b18. Now it is working fine! No problems whatsoever.
