Easy Bake Icon 1.1 (Mac OS X)
Why can't all apps be this simple? ![]()

I downloaded this no even 5 minutes ago, and I already love it. I tried Iconographer, a Photoshop plugin, and a few other tools, just to make an icon from a Photoshop file. I downloaded this, dropped the file on it, and not 15 seconds later, I had the icon done. All size, with transparency. And it still hasn't been 5 minutes yet. [alert admin]

DP Autochanger 2.0.3 (Mac OS X)
If you get an AppleScript Error, which reads: "NSReceiverEvaluationScriptError: 4 (1)" when you launch the app, and another which reads: "Can't make POSIX path of alias "" into type anything. (-1700)" when you try to set the preferences, delete ~/Library/Preferences/com.quandir.dpautochanger.plist and everything should work fine again. Also, I love the icon. [alert admin]

Renamer4Mac 2.5.2 (Mac OS X)
This is a solid app. Simple and intuitive interface (hey, sometimes clichés are right ;)) The only problem with it, is that using the Finder contextual menu, only the file that is clicked on get added to the list, no matter how many are selected in the Finder. Other than that, it's great, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. [alert admin]

VLC Controller 3.2 (Mac OS X)
Two days ago, happily using VLC and VLC Controller to watch anime. Same as for the past year or so. Yesterday, upgrade to Tiger. Today, notice that SC has an update out for TIger. Upgrade that. Check for VLC Controller update, get it. Notice that VLC 0.8.1 doesn't like being taken out of fullscreen, and that it doesn't like the new VLCC. Update that to 0.8.2_test2. Now, VLC works, but VLCC can't control it. The info shows up on my T610 (filename, ET), but any attempt to fast forward, or pause, or anything results in "VLC not running. Launch VLC?". I'm not sure if this is a VLC or VLCC problem. Also, the new phone window doesn't look as good, if it's supposed to be different. [alert admin]

syncOtunes 0.92 (Mac OS X)
Two requests/suggestions while I let it run for the first time. 1) could you possibly translate that box that comes up after choosing to run the copy? I would figure it out for myself, but I have no idea what language that is ;) 2) could you put in a progress bar so we know how the copy is coming along? [alert admin]

LapCop 2.0 (Mac OS X)
Luhmann, read up on it before you say stupid things.
From the "How It Works" section on the developer's web site: " Our server then compiles the alert e-mail and sends it to the e-mail address you have specified during setup. Because the alert e-mail is sent by our server, and not by the stolen mac itself, it does not rely upon SMTP and the delivery is guaranteed." See? It does NOT rely on the an SMTP server itself, it contacts another (via http I presume) and that server sends the e-mail. I'm seriously considering purchasing this software, but I always forget to change my Location setting, so I'm afraid it will report me to myself many times. [alert admin]

Graph-O-Matic 2.2.1 (Mac OS X)
without any crippling bugs. It has features that I tested. Sugeestions/requests: make it all one window, just looks neater that way, and maybe some buttons for the more advanced functions. I wish i could give it four and a half stars, but I'll give you a five due to rounding. [alert admin]

Graph-O-Matic 2.2.1 (Mac OS X)
Graphing Calcualtor away, the developers (www.PacificT.com) didn't feel it was worth the time and effort to make an OS X version. Review of this following shortly. [alert admin]

Does not work with PM G5 2,5 GHz dual (water cooled)
If the logic board has been replaced by anyone other than Apple, it will no longer have a serial number recognizable by software. You'll have to enter it manually from the sticker.

press num lock, and the keyboard takes on the action of the keypad. Of course, it's not the same as a real one, but it should suffice.

You can either delete the photos before you rename them, OR: after you edit the collection, you can add the new numbers at the end of the filename, and then remove the old number.

Graphics Bug in 1.14 on Flat Panel iMac's
I had a problem like this on my PowerBook. Except, it was the fault of some damaged video RAM. It didn't really show until I played BF1942, and I couldn't make out anything on the screen for 3 months.
