David's Backgammon 5.6.2 (Mac OS X)
I have spent countless hours playing this game over the years, and have not yet come across a backgammon game that is so well written and so entertaining. David, the author, has always kept the game up to date, although I feel it's time for a UB version now. I've tried Absolute Backgammon by the same author, but find it still has a few shortcomings. CalcPlus X 2.1 (Mac OS X)
excellent product for me. I like the style and design, obviously a lot of thought has gone into it. There are similar products out there that are free, but none are as versatile as this one. It would be nice if currency rates updated automatically, something like Euro Assistant Pro, and one had a list view. Four and a half stars from me! [alert admin]

Netscape X 7.02 (Mac OS X)
browser for me. Does everything, and does it well. Most useful is the Mail & Newsgroup function. Speed differences with Chimera or Safari irrelevant with DSL. Mozilla 1.3b still incomplete, but will, probably, replace Netscape 7. [alert admin]
