Microsoft IntelliPoint & IntelliType 6.2.1 (Mac OS X)
bluetooth sleep timing changed
they changed the sleep time out on the bluetooth mouse to a ridiculously short period (to increase battery life I would presume) and it's not adjustable and really really %*#$ing annoying [alert admin]

>>SELL<< you OS9 drivers for the older model cameras on the new website (www.globalmedia.com/upgradedrivers.html) Nice webdesign dirtbags... They ask for a CC number and don't even tell you how much it'll be (and can't be bothered to even have a "secure" site for a CC transaction. However! We can get drivers for OSX via IOXperts.com (for the v1.0 camera - Apple System Profiler will identify it as "divio") I think we should all call GlobalMedia (480) 922-0044) and threaten to take them to small claims court for for blatant misrepresentation (they are still updating the old Irez site slamming the v1.0 cameras available for a MUCH cheaper price from 3rd party resellers) They do not respond to email - maybe the paperwork nightmare of having to deal with 20-30 (or more) smallclaims cases will prod their sleazy asses into licensing the IOXperts drivers. (I don't have any association with IOXperts) [alert admin]

Watson 1.5.5 (Mac OS X)
were disappointed, and had to cut back, when Apple announced Sherlock 3 and it looked like a Watson clone," said Dan Wood, President of Karelia and Watson's creator. "Soon we discovered that Watson is much faster than Sherlock 3, and boasts far more tools. We are still offering the Macintosh community a faster, more feature-rich alternative to Apple's best efforts. Our team has been hard at work to keep Watson ahead of the pack." [alert admin]

AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) 4.5.494 (Mac OS X)
any Jag users out there experiencing frequent AIM crashes for no apparent reason after having upgraded to OSX10.2? It seems to crash if you send too many inline pictures, but I mean crashes just if you are IMing back and forth. Weird sidenote: AIM to iChat preserves font choices - but not the other way around..... [alert admin]

America Online (AOL) 5.0 (Mac OS X)
has apparently broken the ability to switch screen names without logging off. Not a big deal for broadband users I suppose - but for those on dial up it can be a real pain. The list of known issues in the beta test area keeps growing and growing. The quality control here is dubious at best - so I'm dropping it 1 star. [alert admin]

of my previous issues - though the -39 mailbox error seems to crop up with no rhyme or reason, I do not use the filing cabinet feature. There does seem to be more and more of a feature parity lag with the Win version - I don't wanna start a debate here. However - with the Gecko engine in place, I don't see why they can't implement viewing profiles as HTML - which the Win Verison did starting at v4 i believe. [alert admin]

still remain re: log-on, easily corrupted -39 error with mail tool, and try pasting too many characters into a getprofile box - you'll beachball for days unless you forcequit. Improved, but still beta-class software and now 3 revisions behind the Windows version [alert admin]

later with no updates to the website and these jerks do not reply to polite emails. I think we OSX users are screwed. The cameras looked cute but were mediocre at best - looks like 129.95 down the drain. [alert admin]

that version 4.5.651 keeps the screen saver/energy saver from kicking in with OSX 10.1.5? It used to work ok - can't figure out which update triggered this - but it's definitely AIM related. [alert admin]
