Apple iTunes 6.0 (Mac OS X)
Why didnd Apple wait a bit longer with iTunes 5 and made this iTunes 5? oh well... They did alot with the video department of iTunes. Wich is nice but i think i found a bug already. i cant drag and drop videos in the list (tried mpg and divx avi's). it wont add them. but if i open them with right click -> open with iTunes it plays it and adds it to the list... am i the only one with this issue? The video playlist is a nice idea. though i'll stick with VLC because VLC plays almost everything flawlessly while Quicktime fails most of the time (no audio, stuttering, audio but no video, doesnd play at all...) For the rest the interface looks a bit better then 5 and sadly still no support for FLAC, OGG and WMA and still no LAME encoding. Seriously, how long is it gonna take before Apple add's more formats iTunes can play? [alert admin]

BitTorrent 4.1.2 (Mac OS X)
I like this client but it could use a few more tweaks to make it better. for example: -Global download limit! -Select multiple torrents so i can stop and/or remove them all at once instead of selecting them one by one like now. -Fixing the cansel bug. When i open a torrent and the select location dialog pops up and i cansel it, it will cause an error. You can either contieu then or shut down the app. while continueing works fine, i cant open new torrents until i restart the app. [alert admin]

Apple iTunes 5.0.1 (Mac OS X)
So tell me, how much has iTunes evolved from version 1.0? Hardly, all the important features never saw the light of day, like the ability to actually PLAY anything other then MP3 and AAC. FLAC is a wide known format, why do we have to rely on buggy quicktime plugins to support it? oh right, apple has nothing to gain from it. instead the reinvent the wheel and add apple lossless support. hmmm, kinda like microsoft reinvented the wheel with WMA. Speaking of wich, how about some support for that format? now i rely on a expensive piece of shareware for that. oh no, then apple has to swallow its pride and beg microsoft for the codecs. we consumers are not worth such humiliation are we? And what about skinning support? Do we realy have to look at something we dont like JUST because apple made the skin? And what about LAME encoding without crummy plugins? the encoding algorithems for MP3 date back from the time iTunes wasnd even called iTunes yet. oh yeah, apple wants us to encode in AAC so screw updating those outdated MP3 algorithems eh? and yes, i rate iTunes 1 star for the idiot fanboys like you who cant see past the apple brand and fail to see the many flaws and the fact that its way behind on players like Winamp. iView MediaPro 2.6.4 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
Exelent catalog app.. Sooooooooo much better then iPhoto. Its faster, it leaves the original files alone if you want unlike iPhoto who insist on copying everything to the pictures directory, it does movies also. oh and it can also manage your digital camera's like iPhoto so no worries there... in short, just download this and trash iPhoto [alert admin]

Apple iTunes 5.0 (Mac OS X)
Not much of a major upgrade. not even a new icon. And i hate the new look! Christ apple, when are you gonna settle on something for OS X? first aqua pinstripes, then brushed metal and now you seem intent on some kind of plastic look for applications. I look forward to some hack to give iTunes its metal interface back. wich reminds me, why is there no skinning support in this version? [alert admin]

Microsoft Messenger 5.0.0 (Mac OS X)
after 2 years of waiting all we get is a watered down version of the windows client wich is lacking the most vital part. WEBCAM support... woooo we can do display pics now.. 3rd party clients could do this, what?, 3 years ago? thanks for nothing microsoft get mercury if you want a full blown msn client that can do webcam, games, display pics, custom emoticons and everything the windows version has. Apple Mac OS X 10.4.2 (Mac OS X)
gee, i was hoping this update would fix the issues that bothered me most. like the resize collumn cursor bug, or the kernel panic that ocurs when i disconnect my sony ericsson k750's USB cable (an issue that was known LONG before this update and panther is not effected by this bug). but did apple do anything about it? no way! this is by far the most horrible OS X since 10.0... it was buggy right out of the box, something totaly unexceptable from an operating system. if i wanted a buggy OS i would have bough a dell with windows XP. but i'm sick of tiger, ive had one kernel panic too many yesterday, and i had ZERO kernel panics with panther. besides, spotlight is way too slow to be remotely functional and dashboard is worthless to me so i'm missing nothing with a downgrade to 10.3. i'm not going back until apple releases 10.4.9 or something if your still running panther. keep running it untill apple gets it together and fixes the issues that plauged tiger since its release. like the other said, hold down the mouse butten at startup to open the drive. and ever wondered why theres a tiny hole in a every CD/DVD drive? its to insert a paperclip to manually eject a disk while the machine is off. your G5 came with a book called "manual". i suggest you read the section called "trouble shooting". but i'm happy to take that "crappy" machine off you hands.....for the price of a new harddisk

Because that plug is somewhat dated an Apple should take a bit more responsebility seeing as iTunes killed every other player on the Mac OS due to the fact that iTunes is freeware and the only app compatible with the iPod and the other player were shareware and NOT compible with the iPod. RIP MacAmp and Audion... I would gladly pay a shareware fee for a good player with build in LAME encoding and all…

i do agree with him though... Apple should focus a bit more on their OS X. Tuger was buggy as hell when it was released. But the iTunes music store is Apple's biggest cash cow so the eagerly awaited 10.4.3 update was prolly side tracked for this iTunes update.

OR you have a crappy modem. Wich happend to me... It was a Sagem F@ST modem that behaved fine when downloading but uploading would fry the damn thing and disconect me. My ISP said it was a flaw in the network and they would fix it but that was complete BS since my ZyXel would work fine (they said the 'fixed' the network but it still disconnects). They just didnd want to admit the flaw…
