Nanosaur 2 Hatchling 2.0.5 (Mac OS X)
Downloaded and installed this update and checked to see if it didn't apply like the earlier reviewers posted. Finder showed it still at the previous version. E-mailed support and they said to logout and in after the update and Finder will show the updated version. It shows it at v.2.0.5 [alert admin]

WeatherDock 2.4.1 (Mac OS X)
I've been looking for a weather app that I can view from my menu bar rather than from Dashboard and found it in WeatherDock. It's easy, accurate and just great. [alert admin]

Shiira 2.0b1 (Mac OS X)
Auto Fill User Names and Passwords. Shiira doesn't ask if I want to keep them in my Keychain, it just puts them in there. I like to keep most of them in my Keychain.app, some like my User Name and Password for my online banking I don't want in my Keychain. Hence the 3 star rating. I recommend the app if you don't mind it putting all your User Names and Passwords in your Keychain. [alert admin]

Intego VirusBarrier X4 10.4.3 (Mac OS X)
I have been using VBX4 ever since I got my very first computer, a PB G4 earlier this year. I payed almost a $90 for the Internet Security Barrier X4 Antispam Edtition which includes VBX4 as part of the package. Since then I've been getting a few updates on virus definitions and once I asked Intego support what definitions I've been updating and received no reply to my inquiry. To date VBX4 hasn't detected anything in all the scans it has performed since the day I installed it. I've been getting emails and chain mails from friends that use PC's that contains attachments, I for one heard that this is a very good way to transmit virii between PC's. I've even opened some links that PC user's say that they've got infected with malware from opening the link. Every time I view the scan logs after VBX$ performs a scan and find that it didn't detect anything, I've been wondering why I spent good money for a product that I don't need. Whenever it performs a scan, the bottom of my PB starts getting a little hot and the fans kick in. When I open Activity Monitor I find that VBX4 is using up to 60-80 % of the CPU. When I first installed it, I scheduled scans for a few items. Since then it has been scanning and detecting nothing and I would like to quit all but one schedule items to quit scanning, but I can not find a way to delete the ones I don't want, when I Delete them they just show up the next time I check to see if they really are deleted. I am going to use this product until it asks me to pay for virus definitions when my 1 year is up and uninstall it. That's enough ranting about this product from me. [alert admin]

Premature Update. The update release was a mistake
You don't need to uninstall the pulled update. Macfixit posted this 'Microsoft says this update (11.3.2) can be safely applied over the previous, unintended release.' http://www.macfixit.com/article.php?story=20061219102848239

My apologies. I was reviewing version 1.2.2 and not the Beta.

Intego VirusBarrier X4 - 10.4.3 (entire suite)
How did you uninstall VB X4? After downloading and installing NeoOffice, things are starting to look even more worse for VB X4.

any way to keep background checking off?
I got mine off the menu bar by clicking on the icon while holding down the command key and dragged it off the menu bar and letting it go. It hasn't been back since, even if I reboot my PB G4.
