Can Combine Icons 3.0.5 (Mac OS X)

Any other tool like this?

I want a good tool to combine images that output ready icons - for Leopard (i.e. 512x512). CCI was amazingly lightweight and good to use, isn't there something like this that works for Leopard? [alert admin]

Xirc 0.9.8 (Mac OS X)

Something positive

This IRC client has received some bad reviews here, so I thought I'd level it with a more positive one. This is most certainly a IRC client for the "pro" irc users, that have grown tired of the bad UI and inherent limitations of Ircle and Snak. It doesn't really cater to the people that want to chat on IRC like they do on ICQ (they use Colloquy, which also is a kick-ass irc client, but very feature-weak). Xirc has a very solid foundation, but lacks some basic UI tweaks that could help it. but it most certainly got the basic ideas right. This is probably the irc client with the most potential on OSX. I've already written a lengthy post on the developers forum about what I miss in it, and what would make me pay for the application should it be implemented. ( http://www.aquaticx.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=156#156 ) Long story short - Anyone coming from a more advanced background in irc (IrcII, ScrollZ, *censored*X or even Ircle and Snak), Xirc is the next generation with full script support and more. iRC 1.0b12 (Mac OS X)

The best irc client

This is the best irc client for OSX, which is kind of sad since even this client needs lots of work. Colloquy is the best looking irc client, but lacks too many features to be usable for anyone with more needs than merely IM-like chatting. Conversation is too *unlike* a irc client to be of any interest to me. Clients like Ircle and Snak, who was in the top in the classic days, have sunk to the very bottom with their arcane UI's. iRC is somehwere in between UI-wise, and lacks that extra Aqua feel, but still is well-thought out and handles multiple servers and multiple channels a lot better than the competition. If you are a hard-core IRC user, this is your best bet, but don't set your hopes too high, it still needs a lot of development - especially in the scripting area. [alert admin]

Unison 1.5.2 (Mac OS X)

Aaaaaaaaaaargh!

I launched my unregistered version of Unison, that I downloaded today and started writing a LONG message. I wanted to try it out. After ten minutes (yes, the message was that long) Unison told me the time limit had expired and the only choices were "Purchase" or "Quit". Clicking "Purchase" quit the app, totally removing my long post that is now forever gone. While I'm quite ok with developers putting time-limits on their demos - removing my text was totally uncalled for! [alert admin]
