Popup Killer 1.0.0 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
I admit that I haven't used this software, so I'm not giving it a rating. But, all you need to do to block popups is download Mozilla or Firebird for your browser. They're free and have built-in popup blocking. As for blocking Windows Message popups, this is just a system service that you can shut off (again, for free). It's nice that people write software to help out novice users who may not know how to install new browsers or turn off services, but $20 is a really high price for something that can be had for free through other means. Emailchemy 1.5.6 (Mac OS X)
but darn near close enough. Converted from QuickMail Pro to Thunderbird. 5000+ messages in about 5 minutes. Great. [alert admin]

PTHClock 2.3.2 (Mac OS X)
An alternative to this unavailable software
Search Version Tracker for wClock. Similar feature set and available now. And please make a donation to the author if you like it. (And no, I am not the author, nor do I know him. I just came by here to check out this product after reading about it in MacWorld. I was curious about their claim that this product is "the best menu-bar clock available" and found that it is now unavailable. I'm very happy with wClock and it works fine with Panther.) Apple Backup 2.0b (Mac OS X)
This should be one of Apple's free iApps because (1) a backup utility is an essential piece of software that should be on every Mac, regardless of whether the owner has a .Mac account or not, (2) Apple wants Macs to be the most consumer friendly, and (3) MS includes backup software with every copy of Windows with no strings attached to it's usage. WindowShade X 3.0p (Mac OS X)
Yes, Unsanity is starting to charge upgrade fees. But, before you start slamming them here you should go over to their forum and voice your opinion. They are listening to their users. As for taking off stars because of the upgrade fee - get over it. Rate the software for what it does and let other people decide if it's worth the money. [alert admin]

USB Overdrive X 10.2 (Mac OS X)
10 stars if I could. Got a mouse with more than 1 button? Then get this utility. Period. [alert admin]

Quit CSM 2.1.1 (Mac OS 9)
bargain for this little gem. It is likely that the reason Simon Chapman is getting the shareware expire message is because he is probably using GoMac or some other Control Strip replacement and the CSM wants to be registered in all the places it shows up. [alert admin]

There's little doubt that zridling is associated with TechSmith in some way. His (or her) feedback reads more like an advertisemnet than an opinion from a happy user. Quotes like "TechSmith aggressively solicited user feedback" and "TechSmith promptly implemented those ideas in this fantastic new realease" could only come from a marketing department, and make you wonder how a happy user knows so much about the development of this product. Add to this the fact…
