Springy 1.4.2 (Mac OS X)

Best archiving utility for Mac OSX

This is the best and far most intuitive archiving utility for Mac OSX IMHO...And I tried a lot...Ease of use and number of supported archiving formats cannot be beaten by anything else..Kudos to developer... As for previous poster remarks...I think he/she misunderstood the Springy completely...This is not the tool for just splitting and joining files, although it can do that also in more than a good way, this is the ultimate tool for working with LOT of various archive types...I have read the discussion of mentioned poster and developer on Springy forum and I think that the poster simply dont understand anything regarding splitting/concatenate files...For plain split/join you can use built-in UNIX tools..For truly working with archives try Springy..You will be amazed for sure... Optimism 1.4.0 (Mac OS X)

Great product

Great application for what its made for...I think there is a bit misunderstanding about this app..It is not made for curing the depression, but to helps to spot the possible problems during therapy or to recognize the triggers which leads to depression...The exact the same "task" has been given to my wife by her doctor during therapy, but on papers - one paper for each day...With this app is much easier to keep things organized and to track the possible unwanted triggers than with tons of papers all around...Also the reports for the doctor looks much better now, printed or presented with the wife's Power Book 17". Apple QuickTime 7.4 (Mac OS X)

Major problem

Unfortenatly this update broke the ability to load MPEG2 video track together with .wav or .aif audio - e.g. when you click on .m2v /MPEG2 Video track/ and if you have the .wav audio with the same name in same folder as video, QT 7.4 wont open audio, only video...Which is a dissaster for many apps including mine - MPEG2 Works 4...Exporting MPEG movies and VIDEO_TS folder to other QuickTime formats working only partialy now - without audio, video only..Now I have to figure it out what a hell is goin on again.. Apple Safari 3.0b (Mac OS X)

Works just fine...

...Instaled on all of my Macs, some intel some PPC..No problems at all..Flash,Java etc working as usual - e.g. no problems...As for 3rd party hacks and plugins..Of course they does not work and its not Apple fault...I think everyone who use those 3rd party add-ons should expect updates of their respective developers soon... I finally found a way to fix my app and now exporting from MPEG formats to QuickTime is working again as it worked before...Had to write some lines of new code but all is fine now...I hope Apple will fix these glitches with 7.4 in next update...

One click conversion PAL/NTSC- far from it.

Please note that DVD PAL <-> NTSC conversion is not an easy process as you might think since it involves lot of various things, not just the simple format reconversion...In order to make proper input VOB for reconversion process you have to rip your DVD in one single VOB file like is explained in tutorial for that type of conversion on MPEG2 Works support forum...Since you tried to use VIDEO_TS folder and recombined VOB's from…

ReplayTV, Closed Captioning

It would be hard to do something with closed captioning, but you can add subtitles before authoring very easely with my app on your MPEGs and then just burn them with subtitles...There is a LOT of places on internet where you can find subtitles in various formats, so that should be easy thing to do if the some movie is in question...However for shows and some other stuf you recording it'll be hard...Rest assured that…
